After just under 14K miles of nothing but beating the bike like a red headed stepchild and the damn thing broke!! --the front brake light switch that is. I tell you what, after the repeated ham fisted floggings that my bike gets and that's the ONLY (knock on wood) thing that has broke so far. I'm sold on Buell for ever!! Just thought I would pass on something a little positive after everyone is so quick to Blame the factory for little maint. related stuff. On second thought I'm not even going to "blame" Buell for that, its Nissins cheap a$$ switch. When in doubt blame the Japanese |

Mine got flakey then stopped working after only 3k miles. It was an easy fix and same with me, no other major issues. |

My Buell is a real piece of crap. Had electrical issues since the first day, ate stators and upper coils for lunch. Had a part in the keihin carb mis installed from the factory....Oh wait, that was the problem with 2 Yamaha MX bikes that I had (new out of crate)....Oops, nevermind, I was thinking of the wrong bikes, all 4 of my Buells have given me pretty trouble free service and more grins than I can handle..... |

a little O/T I was coming home from a friends house monday night and it had just finished raining, its like a 10 miles ride and I was about a mile into when I just grab a hand full real quick to see what it would do and the back end started coming around real quick so i backed off and it straightened up. Was I scared? Hell no I giggled like a school girl the rest of the way home. I wouldn't trade this bike for anything. |

I just ordered a new front brake light switch today! Haven't had one for about a month so I figure I should get one. |

I did a similar thing (dry pavement, hit painted stripes in a turn) awhile back....."giggled like a school girl,"......you betcha! I even had to call somebody that appreciates my sick addition to torque.....my Dad. That kinda shit tickles him too. Damn I love my bike! I told him that when I sling this engine apart, It's going big bore......He understood completely. |

Tq, i have that pain in the checks syndrome too. My daughter likes to watch me start my bike. She calls the starter switch a smile switch. She tells her friends to watch dad's face when he starts his bike. I immediately get a big grin as soon as it starts. Start bike = start grin.... |

Haha, I can totally agree with you on that one. There are so many days that the only reason I want to go to work is because I get to ride my bike there. No matter how bad everything else might be as long as im riding im happy. |

Well on that note...I think i will ride to work tomorrow. I have been out of town and havent been able to hit the "smile switch" in some time. If I know my bike...he will be up for a few stoppies and maybe a few full on throttle launches from a stop light. I think I lucked out and got a bike thats a little high strung...personality wise. Just a wonderful way to start off your day. |
