Our customers have asked us to complete our protection line of products with bar end slider kits. We offer these to you in four options: standard, long, aluminum, and Delrin. The bars ends are designed to fit 7/8" OD handlebars with inner diameters ranging from 0.690" (Crossroads) to 0.750" (standard tubular bars including Buell). They are easily installed in minutes with one 3/16" Allen wrench. All kits are complete with sliders, stainless steel mounting hardware for a long lasting, secure fit, and installation instructions.

Keith, I just ordered the long Delrin bar end sliders! Paypal sure is smooth. Thanks for offering another great product! However, I just changed my mind and want the long aluminum sliders instead. I sent DH an email just now as well. Thanks. Norm (aka Prof_Stack) Oh yeah, happy New Year! (Message edited by prof_stack on January 01, 2008) |

Dana - My wife has reservations for us in Milwaukee for the first week of July. So, we are at least saying that we are going... Josh - The standard extends 3/4" past the end of the bar/grip and the long, 1 1/8" Keith |

The bar-end sliders came today. The removal of the plastic bits and installation of the Dark Horse Moto metal sliders went far easier than I anticipated, being somewhat of a clutz at times. Here are some photos to help any Badwebbers who might be curious:
I put rubber under the vice-grips to not scratch the plastic bits, although they will probably not get used again. Just wiggling up and down got the bits out fairly easily.
There is supposed to be a penny depth of clearance on the throttle side.
To my eyes they look great and perhaps add more visibility from the front. Installed last month, my Dark Horse Moto axle-sliders are not metal because the delrin protrudes farther than the metal ones:
Disclaimer: I am not an employee of Dark Horse Moto and did not get compensated in any way yada yada ... Besides, the prices for these USA-made sliders are GREAT! |

This is TOO funny, sort of... : Today after a cool 65 mile ride I decided to stop in a scenic spot and snap a photo of the XB with the shiny new bar-end sliders. As I pulled to a stop and put my boot down, it slipped on the damp pavement and the XB calmly plopped on its right side! Oh my. After remembering how to upright a motorcycle (back side to the seat) I got it on the sidestand and snapped the pictures. You might say I was Angela and Keith's quality control tester today! The hand-brake lever bent. The edge of the right mirror scuffed, but not enough to worry about. The sliders did their job. Here's the only photo I intended to show:
But wait! Here's more: The aluminum slider:
The axle slider:
The hand-brake lever bent but didn't break:
Hey Angela and Keith, ya got any right-side sliders you can send me? |

After talking with Norm today, I have decided I should get a set. Skully, if you figure out how to make them work with the cityx hand guards I will be first in line to get a set. |

Just letting you know that DarkHorseMoto is a quality outfit you should consider supporting. Keith and Angela took a little pity on my plight. Two new right hand sliders are heading my way soon. Thanks and I've had enough downs for a few more years!! |
