Hey, has anybody put anything other than the force exhaust on their XB. 1400 bucks is a little steep for me right now. If it really is the best, then I will wait. I know there are lots of other threads about this, it just seems that they are all about Force. Thanks, Morgan |

Several people on this board have the Latus. They all seem to like it, and agree that its very loud. I know Skully (Keith) has a D&D on his XB9S...I think they tend to do a little better in the mid-range power than the race mufflers do. I have the full Buell race kit, and personally I love it. Just loud enough, nice crisp sound, and a noticeable power difference for about $600. |

Yep, Darthane is correct. I really like the D&D on my XB. You can see my dyno results between stock, race ECM, D&D, and finally, air box removed in the "Tale Section, From Cruiser to Sport Bike - An XB9S Rider's Log by Keith Thrash..." If I can help, gimme a holler. Keith |

Skully, What is the D&D, I am new to after market street bike exhaust and am trying to learn everything I can. Thanks for the info, I will check out your other post for the details, do you have the price in there? I can do most of the wrenching myself. Talk to you soon. PS, where do you live, I live in Colorado at about 7,700 ft and I don't get nearly the HP up here. |

As I’ve mentioned on other threads, I have the Wileyco, single outlet race pipe on my XB9R which makes 79 point somthing at the back wheel. Looks and sounds good (Louder than the Buell Race can). The only issue with the Wileyco pipe is the installation of the little exhaust chin fairing. The pipe has no mounts directly for this like the Buell, Latus or D&D items have. They send a beautifully fashioned, but heavy and a little unsightly fitting kit to hang the plastic back on with. If my XB was on the road, I would not bother re-fitting the plastic, as the all chrome pipe looks very good without it – its personal preference thing. But if you or anyone else reading this has to have the chin fairing on, then you should proably look at another pipe. At $320 shipped to my door, it was just a money thing for me. If its important, you get a T-shirt and cap with the pipe kit as well!!!! Mark edited by englishman119 on July 15, 2003 |

I have had the D&D on my 9S for about a month now. I love the power, sound, looks, and design. Was very easy to install and I had no probs with the fitment. On the other hand, if you don't want ear-splitting loud, you might want another can. This puppy is loud. I like it loud, but the D&D makes earplugs a requirement. My riding pals all tell me not to ride too close Ha Ha Ha. Mid range is awesome.

2k3lightning, I think Glitch among others has an audio/video clip of my D&D dyno run. If you want, I can send you a copy. Keith |

Skully I have a D&D slip-on on my '02 M2 and it sounds great. If I where to get a XB the first thing would be to put on a D&D. Could you please post the sound clip on BadWeb. Just wondering if it sounds about the same as mine. |

The Force may be the better one as far as the Dyno is concerned, but they may be lacking in customer support as well as standing behind the warranty of their pipe! The gal who handles the warranty stuff is friendly and supportive, but the owner is a real DICK!They sent a fellow rider the wrong pipe, then they finally were convinced it was the wrong pipe, and sent him the right pipe.We went on a ride of about 700 miles, after returning home we found his pipe had broke! We called about the pipe, talked to John the owner, and he said we were to much trouble,he would give us the money for the broken pipe but to take our business elseware! So much for customer support and standing behind a warranty! |

I apologize for the delayed response. Blake is currently trying to strip the video from the audio and post it here on the BadWeB. If he is unsuccessful, I'll gladly send you guys A/V clips. Stay tuned... Keith |

I know I was supposed to put the clip on my web space. But the partners that own the severs have split. Evidently one of the partners took the network, and the other to the servers... Go figure...
