Got my bike back from the dealer where he had @#$ed with a few of the settings, which in my opinion made the bike run horribly. It made me wonder that if someone had taken it for a test ride theres is no way they would buy it.It might also be the reason why some prefer the 9 over the 12. We all know the suspension it super sensitive and that if its not dialed in correctly for your weight it will not handle the way it should. Tires are also a huge factor on this bike. 2 other things i noticed were the Throttle cable and Clutch cable slack. The mechanic left way too much play in the throttle cable which meant the bike had this horrible jerky laggy response. This on the, (all or nothing), super torque 12 engine, made it really hard to ride, somehow it had lost all its smoothness. I also noticed that when the clutch cable is set to the proper position (2mm gap)that its much harder on your hand especially in slow stop and go traffic situations. Having the engaging/disengaging action situated at the 1st third of the clutch lever play, means that your finger tips are doing all the work. I found this super tiring after a long ride the other day. By loosening (shortening the cable)the active area moves into the middle third of the clutch lever play, meaning that the stronger part of your hand is doing work. It might make for slower shifts on the track but makes it a lot smoother when doing the daily commute. anyway thats my 2 cents. Im off to ride. Brrrrrrrrrr |

I avoid bringing my bike to a dealer if at all possible, although from the limited experience I have had with my local one (Peninsula HD) their Buell guy is pretty good. |

yes! you have too find someone who likes Buell's or plan too get f***** because just taking it too a harley shop will not work. I knew this after one stop at destination Daytona where I talked with a whole shop full of Buell haters. I've never gone back. |
