Hey Court...What you SHOULD'VE said was " In my opinion, this is what you should've said". You don't see me tellin' folks what they should or shouldn't say. As for my knowledge of Buells and their powerplants...It is much greater than you think. I am not saying I know it all, for instance, I don't care if Eric shaves his bag or not (but I do know that those cool Buell wheels are now made in China). But I certainly know enough to hang with all but the extreme Buell stalkers out there. Now can we start bein' friends already dammit ? |

I don't know if it's a full moon or if all you guys live together and have ended up on the same menstural cycle or what, but this place has turned into a giant bitch fest lately. Geez. So the guy doesn't like water-cooled Buells. There are a lot of people who feel the same way. If it weren't for the lump in mine, I probably woudln't have bought it. |

You should get that lump checked, you never know what it might be! Oh wait, you're still young. . . |

Knot, 1125 not my cup of tea either. I will be sticking with my XB for a long time yet. |

I saw teh 1125r in person on Thursday for the first time. firstly, the pix do not do it justice. It is a beautiful machine. Truly a work of art. But thinking that everyone will want one is like saying everyone should buy a VROD. Not gonna happen. Besides, I have yet to have anyone tell me what it rides like in the city. Besides, I never buy a first year anything. But the 1125r is one cool bike. Will I be getting one? Not going to commit. But I'll be willing to bet there'll be a whole lotta XBs out there for sale cheap once they become more common. I don't know. The XB is more than enough for me. Too comfortable. When I sat on the 1125, the ergos weren't as good as the Ss. But nothing is as good as my Ss. Well, maybe my Road King. |

I concur with Stretchman. The 1125 is one of those rare subjects that look better in real life than in any pic I have seen so far. The lines of the bike blend very well in real life. Leo |

Just sat on one at the Motorcycle Show at the Javitts Center in New York. Like I told my wife, it's a good thing I'm vertically challenged, because I think that's just about the most beautiful bike I've ever seen. It's too tall for me which is why I'll happily continue with my XB12Scg. Actually, I like the riding position better on my Lightning. I'm not looking to race and I don't feel like riding in that much of a forward lean position. |

Checked out the 1125R at the New York show and like everyone has been saying, you have to see it in person to grasp the total package. The riding position is nowhere near as radical as the Japanese race replicas but I do hope Erik and his boys have a plan for a streetfighter version. |

I was thinking the other day at work...I bet you can go on any Porsche website and find the exact same conversation...Air vs. Water. I cant imagine the ruckus that was caused when the 928 and the 924 were introduced. I belive that there is a lesson there. Porsche still makes the 911 (although more or less water cooled). The 924/944 and the 928 had quite a run. For what its worth, Cas Castner, the Triumph factory race Guru said something about Porsche finally figuring out that a air cooled engine cant compete with a water cooled plant(as was the case in the mid 60s when the TRs were kicking tail)...BTW, I have an 08 XB that I traded my 04 in on. So, I am digging the air cooled plant. |

the 1125 is a cool addition to the Buell line-up. I have only two complaints -- errr, three actually. 1: It came out a year after I bought my 12R -- it would have been nice to have paid less for my 12R. 2: I want those mirrors on my 12R. 3: I was hoping they could design a quick fix for my 12R headlight while they were designing a whole new friggen front end for the 1125. Seriously. Hey, I hope the 1125 is a hit -- it's a cool bike. I'll stick with my 12R -- I like it, it makes me smile -- and I will smile even more when I get the Special Ops on it, get a custom paint job, and drop a cg tail on there to boot. Cheers, Ret |

....so, anyway, Mike Seate did a review on the XBRR a while back in another magazine; he was most impressed with that bike as well........... |
