Tipouno, (That's Spanish) I have a question about your tail piece. I know it is the Hillbilly carbon/kevlar tail, but I want one small piece of info form you. Do you, in your professional opinion, think that this tail can be modified to fit the OEM tail light? I want a pointier tail and the only two I have seen are the Hillbilly and the Ilmberger. If I get the Ilmberger I'll have to chop all that lovely carbon fiber to get a clean looking rear end. Thank you in advance for any light you may shine on my situation. DOOM |

hey DOOM- hmm, i'll have to look more closely at it although i don't have my stock tail and light anymore to really inspect. i would think you could modify it pretty easily to accept the stock tail light but hard to say without the actual lens to see. if you measure your stock lens and let me know the specs i can at least check to see if there is even enough material there to fit it. |

Thank you for your reply Senior Typeone. I measured the light this morning and it is 11.5 cm x 6.5cm give or take in the 25* weather. Thank you again for your assistance. DOOM |

Hi Doom, Typeone's tailpiece is very clean, with the round tail lights keeping the theme of the streetfighter headlights. I'm a big fan of his styling choices. You have surely already seen many instances of the "chopped" XB-S tail with original taillight in place. Why not choose this inexpensive option for your bike? Another somewhat-less-pointy option is the RRC Heckteil tail piece as shown in raw aluminum on my bike:
The RRC piece is not exactly what I'd like as aftermarket styling choice, but it was a good deal (as used item) and fits my Eurothrashfighter motif. Please show us the results of your project when completed! |

No problem Typeone. I was out driving in a snowstorm yesterday so I didn't even get a chance to check in. No hurry, mama (Pronounced bride) is quite upset with the fact that I have spent... Oh, roughly $2500 on the bike so far. Actually, about half of that on aftermarket parts before I even bought the bike. No hurry, at least not according to her. DOOM |

No need for apologies, Typeone. I understand about the snow. Don't tell anyone that I really don't do all that much work though. Thanks. DOOM |
