What year/model caliper works, and where do I get a bracket?
Caliper is a Brembo unit. If you are making your own bracket then you can of course use any make/model caliper you like. Alternatively we sell it as a complete kit to save you the hassle

I got the same set-up. I bought a caliper from a Ducati 748 on EBay for $50. |

I'm trying to find out what the model # is so if I get one, I'll know what pads go on it. I also want to find out how good the thing is before relying on it to stop me (something the rear brake will only see in an emergency). |

Its from a 851/888.
If you use a goldline it works great.

Is it any harder to change tire/take off wheel with the "hidden" brake setup? |

It makes it soooo much easier to take the tire off. I leave the caliper on the bike, pull the axle, move the belt and the wheel is out. piece of cake |
