Rode in to work though a real bad fog...had to ride by braille! But after work I took her on my first ride. Did about 60 miles and even made it a point to hit the dirt roads. This thing moves on out at any RPM and sounds like a million bucks! I did notice that she was loaded up when I left work and did not want to run. I wicked her up and she popped cleared out and ran fine. Is this common? I know I was babying it a bit and this morning was not a good day to ride in because of the fog, if a deer ran out in front of me the first I'd known was when I TASTED it! Birdy |

Could it be the motor was still cold? |

On mine it helps to let it idle for 30 seconds or so, then take off. |

+1 let her warm up. OH, and NEVER blip the throttle on start up, you will foul a plug. And congrats on your new baby. |

RIDING on dirt will do that. Esp if you feather the clutch through the rough chunky stuff and/or power slide through the corners, you rev the motor vs traction and spin, you will notice alot of popping on decell after ridin on forest roads/dirt/whoopdees. But it is too much fun to avoid. Welcome to the dirty lil secret about Buell. (they go off road well enough!) |
