I bought a 06 XB12Ss that already had a Drummer exhaust, (love it by the way). Does anyone know if I can lift my bike without ruining the Drummer, or should it only be lifted that way with the stocker. | ||

It's the same although it is a tad bit shorter than what it used to be. If you look real close Kevin doesnt cut the jackpoint off (provided its not the carbon exhaust). | ||

just make sure to use something to spread out the load, like I piece of plywood. also a piece of cardboard or a shop rag will hopefully prevent scuffing the paint | ||

Cool, Thanks for the info.  I thought I'd be able to use it to lift, but would rather ask than risk a flat muffler. It's the stainless, Perhaps I'll make some sort of carpet covered cradle. | ||

if you do a search, some one posted a layout to make a cradle. I used it and it worked great. | ||

Yep, I welded up a cradle to work with my el cheapo motorcycle jack and covered it with rubber. | ||

I put a small dent in mine by going with the stock specified lift points. One lift point is at the very back 'plate' and the most crucial to get right, the other very near the existing front lift point. (XB9 version no servo) Just my experience. |
