Just did my 2nd trackday event with TPM on Sunday out at Pocono raceway. Rode the crap out of my XB9 and had a great time. Last time I was on the FUSA track, but this time it was Pocono East. The East course is much better than the FUSA track for the XBs (in my opinion), because the straights are much shorter. Nothing worse than taking clean lines through the turns and passing guys on GXRs/CBRs/R6s and then having them blow by you on the straights, maxed out at rev-limiter in 5th!!! That was driving me nuts on the FUSA track, but on the East track it was really suited to the Buell and I was able to hang with the fast guys (well, at least in the White group). Great fun, but disappointed not to see more Buells out there.

I was there on Saturday, and there were 3 Buell's there, Firebolt, Lightning, X1. The east course is fun, and does suit the Buell nicely. |

I ride with Nesba and was there Sept 29th. Was very happy to have a fellow Bueller out there track'ing his lightning. Pocono is a fun track. I know a ton of people don't like it but It's all I've ridden. Going to BeveRun Oct 20 and can't wait to learn a new track. Next year I'm planning on at least 6-8 track days. We should round the troops up next season and hit the track. I hang with a Ducati forum group and they usually have a half a dozen or so members come out. Although now they've just about parked the Ducks and went to alternative Track bikes. One went to a Gixxer, and another went to a SV650. We have a blast.

Mike, Fritz, Bill and I went to the Inside pass track day. There were lots of Buells! We had a blast! I've attended a few track days at NHIS. I like that track. It's perfect for Buells. Me and some of the Hudson valley guys would be up for Track days next year.

I've still got a $150 credit with team Pro Motion from the snowed out day last March so I'm up for it. |

I'm interested in the NESBA. It sounds like they ran a good show for you guys at Pocono. Should I try their event at Beaver Run or Summit Point? Both tracks are pretty serious hike from my house... Is there anyone on this board who runs their events on a regular basis? I really enjoyed the PTT/Inside pass day at Pocono. If the experience is similar I may become a regular. Thanks! |

NESBA is a great group of people. Non profit organization so everything goes back into the sport. They run a tight ship and I've had a blast at the 2 Track Days I've run through them. I have a third coming up at BeveRun so It will be cool to learn a new track and see how they run out there. I also did a TD through a local dealership that contracted through Absolute Cycle or something like that. They did not seem quite as organized BUT they hooked us up in the garages at Pocono. That was sweet! |
