Hey I was wondering if it is possible to buy air box decals and the rubber x from a City X air box without ordering a whole new air box? I like the “BUELL” with “American Motorcycles” in that silver color that’s on the 06 Hero Blue, and I want to get my hands on that and the rubber X to put on my carbon fiber air box. I went to a local Buell dealer, not my usual one, and the guy at parts said they are not available separate. Can anyone confirm? Thank you. | ||

Decals, yes - M0750.1AJ, one each, $15 each. X protector...nope. I thought it may have been out there as a P&A part, but no luck. Sorry  | ||

The only sources for the X are either a city-X owner that has removed theirs, or a city-X air box cover. | ||

From what I can remember they use to offer the guard on its own but then they stopped, it wasn't discontinued because they still use it as a production part. | ||

spoke w/ harley ;stated that part is not sold on it's own even though listed in parts book [misprint] according to them. must purchase air box cover kinda stupid not judging just saying | ||

At homecoming the idea of offering the X loose or on other colors of airboxes was proposed and they said that they would look into offering it, but there haven't been any rumblings since then to my knowledge. I was fortunate enough to obtain one that Al at American Sport Bike had laying around (on a broken airbox cover) that he was willing to part with. I LOVE it! It stabilizes my tank bag when I have it on, and looks cool when the bag isn't there. Win win! | ||

Yep, made a fiberglass mold for the rubber "X". I "filled in" the Pegasus so as to not infringe on any trademarks. I haven't "pulled" one yet though. I bought some translucent blue and translucent red, as well as opaque black rubber to make them. I even have the double sided foam tape to install them on the A/B. Sounds like I need to get busy...XB9er's been buggin' me to do them anyhow. | ||

no froggy it isnt. I was in monday(yesterday) and asked toona where the rubber X was and he said he didnt get around to it because he was being a plumber on saturday. Surprised i was not. | ||
