... and ended up making a few alterations to the XB9SL "inherited" from my wife (bought it for her as 1st bike, she hated it). Principal inspirations: RonLV, Typeone, LoneXB, Fravel, HillBilly & PM Performance. Some progress after winter disassembly... just in time for more winter fiddling!
That's the new Drummer pulley cover. RRC tail, stripped to bare aluminum for now; same for the OE front mounts. The Buell airbox cover "bra" has a problem with that spaghetti strap falling off shoulder. Drummer SS is work of art; gives the bike a new feel. Winter project: Electricals & lighting, PM Hecklifterkit, open airbox + Drummer catch-can, get the fancy forks and Penske dialed in (as per "Slaughter's Suspension Crusade"). I noticed the GP Suspension sticker on your front forks, what did they do and how much did it cost? |

0.95 kg/mm fork springs, their own valving kit tuned to my weight, new seals, oil, clean-up. About $500 per fork set including all labor (removed my own forks and dropped 'em off since GP is nearby). Definitely a good option for those approaching the 10k mile factory fork service. |

That is the 2nd bike I've seen with the chin spoiler removed, I like it! You still have a warning sticker to remove... |

Appreciate the comments. Ustorque - the HD timing cover is temporary, but mandatory for any visit to local anti-Buell HD dealer. Swordsman - yep, the mirrors... bought singleton Rizoma RHS bling mirror: beautiful billet craftsmanship but useless for viewing anything. Stuck old XB mirror back on for utility, but need to find good mirror solution, if anyone has suggestions... can't use bar-end mirrors, 'cause that's where Oberon front LEDs will go. Bikertrash - I think the remaining warning sticker is the "if ridden like a fool, then you will die" [sic] liability statement, which is somehow poetic. Lonexb - you and Clinton have the cleanest modded-stock bikes around! Bads1 - obviously the most inspired paint and parts selection, including perfect license plate mount. Sub65 - wave rotor is total bling... got it used & cheap, will try it out on the street, but my OE "round" rotor is the reliable item, attached to 2nd wheel set for trackdays. Oregon rain season starts next week, so it's pretty much 6+ months of potential project time for the additional XB items I'd like to tackle. First priority: long-overdue beer fridge, tv, and dart board for new garage setup. Mark Oregon |

Mark, the bike is looking good. Did you paint the air cover or buy a new white one? Living in Oregon you should be used to the rain. Don't let 6 months of rain stop you from riding. Hit the roads until it freezes. |

Aron- You pushed me over the edge for the Drummer SS! Love that new muffler. Had my wife measure sound level yesterday (she's industrial safety consultant)... 80-something at idle, 104 dB with a throttle twist (measured at 1 meter). We really need to roar through downtown Portland sometime for political incorrectness. Got the Super TT whites from Andy in WI, kept pre-crashed black pieces for PIR trackday use. Re: rain - not to worry. Will install Buell heated grips kit as part of my electrics project. After all, I'm a middle-aged Beemer softie, Aerostich, heated vest and all! |

Sweatmark, How much of an improvement did the gp suspension kit improve your forks? Which valving kit was installed. Did you have any shock work done? |
