check your wire connections. also, have you run it hard/ long enough for the fan to kick on?

Took it for a ride, I think the fan should have come on. Will check connections and try again.

i've noticed with the cooler temps it takes a bit more flogging to get the fan to kick on. run it for 20 minutes or so at highway speeds and see what happens. i would check the connections again tho first. good chance you could've loosened one up with the pressure washer.

My CityX fan doesn't always come on after a ride, especially if it is below 65 degrees outside.

A big -1 for the power washing.

I hope it was a last resort right?

F.Y.I. the ride to the power washer for me was fine until I rode home as well, I found both my wheel bearings (front and back) had corrosion inside them.

I have had my bike a little over a year, and I just past 13K. The first time the fan did not come on was about a month ago. I was really shocked, I had been riding on the highway for almost an hour, then some back roads for 20mins or so. then I stoped at a D&D, but no fan. It was cooler like 68degrees but nothing really cold.

But that has been the only time it has not come on after a good ride lasting more then 30mins

Yep, I run Syn-3 and have Odie's heat shield and a right side scoop and my fan is a non-issue with me. Even on the hottest days it doesn't come on until I turn off the bike, unless I am in traffic. I can count on one hand the number of times in the last year it has come on while riding. And once parked, it might stay on 20 seconds on hot days.

i've used the spray off car wash places before with no issues. i only use the high pressure for the wheels, frame and engine. i try to avoid the tail section as much as possible to avoid issues.

DON'T EVER POWER WASH A BIKE.

Especially the wheels (and the wheelbearings)!! Engine electrical connectors, fan connectors, light connectors...they're tested for "spray" water, but not pressurized. Think about your car - all that stuff is hidden under a hood, chassis, or interior panel, so no water hits it hard. Bikes, all that stuff is exposed to begin with which is bad enough for them. Pointing pressurized water at them is just asking for trouble. Use a garden hose and a mitt to clean a bike. It's not like it's acres of sheetmetal like a Buick...

Checked everything over, took it for a long ride and the fan did come on at shut down.I don't know what happened. I normally just use a garden hose, not a pressure washer. I'll stick to the garden hose from now on.
