M2138.1AK XB12X Air flow deflector Kit. Yes it is for a Uly but it fits our bikes too. A big +1. It fills in the gaps just below the seat and directs the air back and off your leg. Best of all it is less than twenty bucks. |

+1 on the photo. Figures. I just bought a DEI blanket from Summit Racing to make my own heat shield... |

I must be some kind of freak because my leg is no where near that part of the bike when I'm in riding position... |

Teeps - you're not a freak, but the hot air poucing out of there ends up flowing upwards and cooks the bottom of your theigh. believe it or not, a lot of it depends on the seat - when I had the stock seat the heat wasn't a problem. With the corbin, it's almost painful at certain speeds. |

I would wait to see a picture of one on a Long before buying one. I went by the dealership today and compared the Long and Uly side-by-side. I don't see how a snap-in part designed for the Uly will fit the Long. The openings under the right side of the seat are very different in shape. They didn't have one in stock to take out to the bikes to actually check, unfortunately. Retail price on this part is $23.05. I wish they made one for the Long, though. |
