I know they're rare beasts but anyone know approximately how many Buells there are now out there in the world? 100,000, 200,000....? |

100,000 in 20 years I believe. #100,000 was a Uly built in '06 if I am remembering correctly. In total as of last year it was about 4000 bikes annually. Again, I could be wrong. This is just what I've researched myself. So, yea, they are rare. |

100,000 as of 11:17AM 11-17-07. 109,324 as of close of business yesterday. Just a guess.

Um, Court. I don't think 11-17-07 has happened yet. Do you mean 11-17-06? |

You are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO right . . . see what I get for reading my t-shirt in the mirror?
Okay . . . funny story, real quick, then back to work . . . I was at M.I.T. for a week doing a Buell project in 1997 (which by the way was spectacular and never got made public . . remind me to tell you . . . )and at the end of the deal they give everyone a couple of gray M.I.T. sweatshirts. . . very cool. I'm headed to Willow Springs so Ferris can push me off an M-2 the next day and nearly send me over a cliff and decide to wear the sweatshirt to the airport. I'm in the restroom, I'm washing my paws and the guy next to me says . .. "hey, that's really cool, having your name on your sweatshirt . . nice to meet you Tim". It wasn't until I looked up that I started to laugh . . . . I'm betting he was not a student. |
