I run an XB12Ss. I noticed two things with my riding position. When sitting, my feet tend to naturaly point outward. This makes the brake/shifter pedals too short for me, making me strain to point my feet inward to touch them. Anyone have a solution to this? Also, I wish I can drop the pedals even lower. A 2" drop would be ideal (vs. the 1" drop already installed stock with these bikes). I tried adjusting the shifter pedal lower, but it becomes much harder to shift upward. Any options? I broke my shifter lever and had drilled and tapped it and added an old `70's style heel/toe shifter peg in its place from one of my dads HD's |

Yeah, I'd also like to drop my pegs a bit. I liked the height of the stock pegs, but they had NO grip, so I upgraded to the Crossroads competition pegs with some mean cleats. They grip perfectly, but the pegs are thicker, and the cleats alone are at least 1/4 of an inch taller. Had to readjust the shifter to give my toes some room (they were getting caught underneath... scary realization 1st time out!). It would be nice if there was an adapter of sorts that would allow the pegs to be mounted below the stock mounting point, 1" for sure, maybe even a 2" version. AHEM. Any vendors listening out there? ~SM |

great so I'm not the only one. There has got to be some options out there. I'm sure another inch would limit the lean angle |

Does anyone know if the chassis mounting brackets for pegs from xb12x are longer than standard lightning? From pictures they look like they might be and would lower peg mounting point. |

Raise the shifter lever. You will see that there are two locations from which you can bolt the shifter lever. The upper one is covered with a plastic plug. Pry out a little and unscrew. The upper mount is for GP shifting (reverse pattern). |

I'll give that a try. In the current config, if I raise the shifter lever anymore, i start to strain my ankles as I can't bend my foot upward with ease anymore. Lowering them would help, but any lower than its current position and it changes the angle at which my foot can push up, making it difficult. |
