Is the gas in the left, right or both sides of the frame/tank? Are the headers of XB9 and XB12 the same? Or are the 12's larger diameter? It appears that the left side of the frame is thicker.. I too came into some contact with the asphalt (on both sides) and only the right side deformed. The headers are different yet interchangeable, but will make the bike perform poorly without proper engine and fuel map modifications(dyno tuning with Direct Link by a trained professional)   Björne666 Posted on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 - 12:41 pm:        It seems to me, after carefully analyzing your replies, that there is gas in both sides of the frame and that the XB9 headers are of a smaller diameter than XB12. Thanks for the info! Now I just need to get a set of right sized headers and make to use chemical metal as the first layer in my tank/frame restoration.
