the cans all look the same, will a wileyco from a honda or yamaha work on an xb? i'm probably going the wileyco route instead of the expensive d&d. |

The model for the XB has a mounting bracket welded on the top which engages the kickstand mount as well as a headpipe to engage the end of the exhaust header and brackets to attach the ching fairing. It isn't a generic kit for them. |

I have the Wileyco pipe. Although I actually race the XB9 the only point against the pipe is that you have to use a mounting kits supplied with the can to put the little plastic chin fairing on. This was great for me as it provided a great place to hang the fluid retaining belly pan I have to use. If I was a street rider I would run without the chin fairing as the pipe is all chrome and looks and sounds great. Initially I ran just the K&N air filter, but you loose the midrange grunt without the race ECM. With the Race ECM, the mid range is restored except for a flat spot around 5000 rpm which all the XB's with aftermarket pipes appear to suffer from. My 2 cents 119. |
