When I try to start my XB9S in the morning, I push the starter button and all the lights go out and I lose the time on the clock and my mileage on my trip odometer. I push again and it starts right up. I keep the bike hooked up to a battery tender and the battery seems strong. This only happens after the bike sits overnight. This is not much of a problem now, but I would like to fix it before it, possibly, leaves me stranded later on. Any ideas will be appreciated. |

How old is your battery? I would have it load tested to make sure it's not your problem. |

Sounds like it could be a grounding problem. I might check the battery connections, the connection of the battery ground to the frame, the grounding wire from the frame to the engine. With the way these bike vibrate, lots of screws get loose. I always use Blue Loctite, (I like the stick) when putting stuff back together. Let us know if you find something else, ok? |

Thanks, I checked the battery connections, I couldn't get a tool to check the ground at the frame. I'll check that and the battery itself, it's almost 4 years old. |

That is most likely your problem. 4 years is good long life out of a bike battery. Spend the few bucks and get a new if for nothing else piece of mind. |
