I am looking into to getting some rearsets, (preferably black) and was curious what people had for experience with the different brands.

Love my Rizomas. Bought them used and they set my feet right where I like them, back.

The only ones I've seen that look like they go with the look of the bike are the WoodCraft ones.
All the other ones just don't seem to look like they are supposed to go there.
Where in Maine are you from?

Buellerinjapan - any pics of your Rizomas? I was looking to see if any would set back a little further than the stock location on the 12R. (Stocks feel a little forward and awkward at times at 6'2")

Are you/ can you run gp shift with these aftermarket sets? (Currently I just flipped the linkage to do it.)

Buelltroll - From the Topsham/ Brunswick area originally. Actually forgot to update the profile, but I am back living in NYC now. Now comes the hunt for decent curvy roads with minimal traffic outside the city... (That may need to be the question of my next post!)

Actually the first time I installed them, they were backwards, so yes gp shift is possible.

I`m 6`1" and they work really well for me. I like to push my thighs against the tank when riding, along with snake-skins on the sides of the tanks, it makes a big difference in riding style.

I`m at work right now, I`ll try to take some pictures when I get home.

Rizoma http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/trojanhorse/prods/99.html (and most adjustable rearsets) will position you feet further up and back than the stock pegs. The Rizoma adjustment gives around 2" movement of the footpegs and both toe pegs are adjustable for length too.

Also worth looking at are Free Spirits http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/trojanhorse/prods/98.html(adjustable using an eccentric mount for the footpeg),

Gilles are similar to the Rizoma but not quite as good looking in my opinion.

LSL are cheaper but use the stock gear linkage.
