Apologies if this is a stupid question but does anyone know if the new ECM is flash upgradeable/programmable? |

I do not know for sure, but I do believe that DDFI3 EPROM ECMs are programmable (EPROM = Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory) Chris |

do believe that DDFI3 EPROM ECMs are programmable I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the case. The ability to go in and apply factory updates to address FI glitches seems like a no-brainer. Yet as best as I remember, this wasn't possible with the previous version DDFI. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) |

The Motor Company officially stated that in the 2005 Model Year that "Service ECMs are re-flashable (Will Not Retrofit)". That was on DDFI2. I can only assume that DDFI3 is the same way (The XBRR was the first to use DDFI3, and its ECM EPROM is re-flashable). Chris |

All Buell ECM's have been reflashable. It was a matter of figuring out HOW ;). Direct link is the tool. |
