A question for anyone who has installed the Buell custom seat on their Firebolt... About how much taller does it make the seat height? With the stock seat, I'm on the balls of my feet at a stop. Will the custom seat put me on my tiptoes (or higher)? (My dealer will charge me a "restocking" fee if I order the seat and return it because it's too high.) Is it that much more comfortable than the stock plank seat?

I have both seats and the touring seat is a good inch taller. I have a 31" inseam (I am a little guy) and my '04 bolt is by no means flat foot with the touring seat. I am ALMOST flat foot with the stock seat, front edge of the balls of my feet with the touring. Also the touring kind of pushes you forward into the tank unless you scoot your butt 4 or 5 inches back. The touring is also WAY more slippery..I find riding aggressively in the twisties quite a bit harder on the touring seat. |

My inseam is just under 30" so based on your feedback, the custom seat is going to be too tall for me. I need at least the balls of my feet on the ground and from what you're telling me, it sounds like I might even struggle getting my tiptoes down. Or to put it another way, the custom seat puts the seat at 12TT seat height - too tall for me. |

It does raise you up about an inch or 2. It is more slippery and does move you forward. I think its EASIER to ride aggressive on it because it IS more slippery and you can slide around on it alot easier. Oh and mine didn't fit right,There is a gap of about a half inch back by the logo even after I dremeled some of the plastic off from underneath. |

Yeah mine doesn't fit nearly as well as the stock seat does. |

Mine adds about an inch and fits poorly. |

I just got mine and I think it is about an inch taller. I did not have any fit issues. I can still flatfoot the bike easily. I have 32" inseam. |

I love mine. It does put you up another inch. I find it very comfy for longer hauls. I've never noticed any fitment issues with mine. |

I ditto Beachbuell. The seat lifts you about an inch, but the difference in comfort is day and night. I rode 250-275 miles on Saturday and thought nothing of it. I LOVE my touring seat. It fits great-no gaps. BTW I have a 31" inseam. Get it, you won't be sorry. |
