Just got my new T-Rex stands today! and i must say they are f'ing awesome! for the same price of one Pitbull stand i was able to get front & rear & triple tree (shipped). The quality is awesome! sturdy as could be! so if anyone is buying some stands, i HIGHLY recommend these stands, in fact i'd say your not too bright if you buy some other brand! www.t-rex-racing.com & sells alot on eBay. Just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in!

which ones did you get? Are they universal or did you get Buell specific stands? Thanks |

"in fact i'd say your not too bright if you buy some other brand!" Wow, nice rear stand. I wish my MADE IN USA Pit-Bull stand was bolted together and needed angle supports so it would not fold up under the weight of a motorcycle. Though I do think it is really cool that Pit-Bull tried their best to copy the T-Rex, they even got the finish close. By the way, it is "you're", not "your". Nice bike- we can agree on that. |

Dude, RELAX! WTF is your problem? Don't feel bad because you paid too much. The guy was just sharing his opinion on a product he thinks is good value for the money. Not all of us want to or can spend extra money for a fancy name just to lift a couple of wheels off the ground. I really don't give a flying fu&* how fancy my bike stands are as long as they are sturdy and lift the bike. Hell, I even fabricated my last stands for my R6. If I still had a metal shop, I'd do it again. (Message edited by cgocifer on July 20, 2007) (Message edited by cgocifer on July 20, 2007) |

I was simply putting out my 2 cents, as stated. for the money, I think my "MADE IN USA" T-REX stands were the best deal out there. (made in my home state of Texas, if i might add) I know pitbull has some good stuff on there hands. i just felt the price was too much. and these looked just as good, and after using them, i agree they are just as good. Simply put, buy what YOU want. I'm not trying to open a debate post here. and thank you 4cammer for helping me with my vocabulary skills, very much appreciated! Cgocifer: I just bought the generic set he has for sale, and at the end of auction you tell him what bike you have and he does all the matching up to make sure you get the correct ones. |

4cammer: "Wow, nice rear stand." Apparently others agree, as the seller has over 3800 positive feedbacks (vs. only 5 negative ones) in the past year. Many praise the quality of the stands: http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.d ll?ViewFeedback2&userid=t-rexstands&ftab=FeedbackA sSeller "I wish my MADE IN USA Pit-Bull stand was bolted together" If it supports the bike rigidly, I don't care if it's held together with welds, bolts, or epoxy. "and needed angle supports so it would not fold up under the weight of a motorcycle." Maybe it is stronger than your Pit Bull because of the triangulation. It required four welds per stand that Pit Bull is not making. The use of the bolts required additional machining, too (and didn't save any parts or welding). Maybe it's Pit Bull that's trying to save a few bucks. hough I do think it is really cool that Pit-Bull tried their best to copy the T-Rex, they even got the finish close. Hate to break it to you, but gold iriditing is nothing unique to either T-rex or Pit Bull. It's a standard finish for steel that's been around for years. Here's a company using it for valve covers: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/valve_covers/s bc.html Let's not lose sight of the fact that the T-Rex stands are available for about $120/pair plus $25 shipping. They come with the front stand, rear stand, triple tree adapter, 5 different pins for the triple tree, and double wheels (two per side) for stability. Given the rave reviews all over the forums (Buell and other bike-specific forums), they seem like a good deal to me. |

I too have been looking for a rear stand for a little while. I asked a t-rex rep about using their stand for buells (since it is not one of the bikes listed on their ebay auctions). He said they have sold these to buell riders before and they have all said that the stands work very well. From what its sounds, T-rex is the way to go. |

'I wish my MADE IN USA Pit-Bull stand was bolted ' Who says t-rex is not made in USA ? I think you're angry because you paid too much for a simple stand and are looking to belittle t-rex to make you're self feel better. |

Ok so you almost have me sold on this. A few questions though I have not done too much research on stands yet so I have limited knowledge. Does anyone run a rear stand with the forward handle design? My friend has one for his Triumph 675, and he loves it because he can put it on the stand while next to the bike, not behind. and he likes being able to tuck the bike into the corner of the garage, with no handle protruding. And for the front. The triple adapter just slips in-between the two rubber bumpers? At first I thought the adapter would slide right down the tubes (which would seams to make more sense) how stable is the front stand, does it flex a lot? Would you feel comfortable sitting on the bike when it’s on the stands? or is that just a no on all front stands |

the front triple tree confused the shit out of me until i put it on the bike. You have your normal front stand. then the triple tree section slides on the rubber supports (same supports for the front fork) and pin it in the bottom. this does allow it to fold either direction, when not installed. the secret is the pin you use for the triple tree bottom. it fits snugs and deep. also supports it at an angle so the end result is this bad boy going up, and its pretty damn sturdy, i tried shaking the piss out of her, and she wasnt going anywhere. it comes with 5 different pins for different bikes. theres one in the kit that works just fine on our bikes. i sure wish i was getting a damn kick back from T-Rex, didnt know i would influence anyone that much! but the seller, Tom is an awesome guy! customer service is at the top! In todays world, most people think, "wow this is twice as much money, as the other brands! It has to be better!" I think this product proves that theory wrong. But then again, working were i work i see that theory go bad every day :-) Just do your research! And I'm sorry Pitbull, maybe you'll should step up your game |

oh, and i did sit on her! im 180 LBS (yes i know short and stocky, cant win them all!) and i jumped up and down on the pegs! and well, you don't see me pissed off b/c she fell over do you? also i do not have spools! so i just used the rubber swingarm lift for the rear. How long did it take for them to ship the stands? I ordered a set on the Monday the 16th. Paid and got a UPS tracking number on the 17th. But haven't heard a thing as of yet (Friday the 20th). Doesn't show shipped yet. I have e-mailed them a couple of times but no response yet. Does anyone have a phone number? |

i do not have one! thats very odd. he was ontop of everything with me! no longer than half a day and i always had a reply. of course, knowing how ups.com is i cant fully say the seller is at question. i cant count how many times, my tracking would show no activity, but next thing i know the package is at my door step. also he ships with signature verification. which for me was a pain in the ass, due to work and all. just an FYI. |

The stands look to be very well made and every owner review I've seen online has been positive. And they're cheap so it's a low risk purchase IMO. The stands would look nicer if the "base" was 1 solid piece instead of being bolted together, but in all honesty those bolts are going to hold any motorcycle you can throw at them. And I don't know how one can complain about extra bracing. It's surely not needed because the thick tubing and welding are strong enough, but extra insurance is almost never a bad thing. Now I just have to decide if I want mine in black, red, or galvanized... |

Fellas- most of my post was targeted as sarcasm.... please take it as such. I was not trying to belittle T-Rex because I paid too much for my Pit-Bull. The best always costs a bit more, especially when made in the US. I had to make some comments when the initial post stated " i HIGHLY recommend these stands, in fact i'd say your not too bright if you buy some other brand! ".... Sheeesh, some of the posts above almost sound like placed advertising for T-Rex. |
