Hi everyone, I posted this in the KV already, but am hoping to get some quick feedback. If you guys can help me out, I will happily post a pic of the installation and a review of the product. Thanks! I am in the middle of installing Signal Dynamics' new Brake Hold Modulator on my 2007 XB12stt. http://www.signaldynamics.com/products/Modules/bra ke_hold.asp In order to finish the installation, I need to tap into the speed sensor wire. The service manual shows where the three wires come of the actual speed sensor (by the crankcase). My question is, where does this wire emerge under the seat? I suppose I could by enough wire to run all the way down to the crank case, but I would much rather connect it under the seat. I can't seem to find this in the manual. Any suggestions? Thanks so much for your technical help! Brady |

That looks cool! great find. unfortunately on the firebolts the wires run up to front fairing so I can't help on that end. I tend to flash my brake lights manually when I stop at a light to try to keep the attention of the brain dead drivers. Mode one with the brake alert sounds like a winner to me. |

Thanks Brain, I really like that the brake lights will flash on deceleration. I don't like to use the brakes too much when I ride on the freeway, so I would like the cars behind me to know I am slowing down. If only I can make the last connection... |

There is a blank space breaking that link posted above, I got an error on it. This one should work: http://www.signaldynamics.com/products/Modules/bra ke_hold.asp Looks like another good idea from those folks. I had the BackOff XP on my M2 and really liked, so I put one on my FXD: http://www.signaldynamics.com/products/Modules/xp. asp I think it makes a big difference on single taillight bikes. I usually have a finger draped over my front brake lever, I use it lightly all the time just to send some signals on the more subtle slowings. Jack |

I have the Back off brake modulator on my bike... I prefer the 5 short flashes... If you buy the right stuff you can do the job without cutting or splicing |

My shifter has already got it's fingers in almost everything on my bike so a couple more wires wouldn't scare me out of installing it. There is even a returned unit (with short wires) on their web site for about $25 IIRC. I could go go for it at that price |

So anybody have an idea where I can tap into that speed sensor wire? |

Do you guys think that just running a wire down to the crank case area is best? |
