Lower pressures (within reason) increase your contact patch and allow the tire to grip better. I would not go bellow 28-30 psi on the street, that's just me though. Yes, the tires will wear faster and heat up quicker with the lower pressure. FWIW I run Pirelli Diablo Corsas on my firebolt and being a bigger guy I run 32f/35r for playing around and bump it up to factory specs for longer distance rides. I LOVE the grip I get from the corsas. It gives me all the confidence in the world when I lean the bike into a curve. |

I've found I get better mileage from the tires with 30/32 than with 32/34... |

i can get my 12cg pretty low, but i still have some strips forming. I do find that the rake angle has been a little hard for me to adjust to. The front tends to dip into turns. I'm thinking a steering dampener might help with this. At 30mph, this is one of the easiest bikes to lean. |

Ft-bstrd If your worried about tire life why don't you try the pilot roads. I almost went with them. The guys I buy from ride hard, and I was told that they feel the side is a pilot power compound while the center is harder. One of the guys that rides with us has them on a 600. He puts it down the road and has never complained about pushing or slipping around in the corners. Depending on how the CT2s last I may get pilot roads next. I put 250 miles a week on my bike commuting. |

how many miles can you expect for the pilot roads on a rear tire? my metzler Z6 has 4000 by me and they were not new when i bought the bike. they still have a little grip in the middle about another 800 miles MAYBE MORE. to stay on topic my chicken strip is 3/8 on the rear half on the front, don't flame I only been riding 2 months |

It's ridiculous to worry about chicken strips. Anyone who thinks the lack of them has any correlation to riding prowess has their head up their ass. Just ride and don't worry about them. |

while talking about these chicken strips i have a question on the corect way of turning on these bikes. my observation is when you ride 5mph and you want to turn left you steer left when turning left at 50mph if you steer right then you go left if you only lean left at 50mph the bars turn left which is the correct way to ride? |

Bayou-I am expecting about 3500. I got almost that much out of the T-SPEC Diablo's that came on it. |

I don't ride as hard as some, but the only time I got completely rid of the chicken strips on the front was during Battletrax! |
