My wheel bearings should be replaced soon, anyone know the bearing number? and a good way of doing it without buying the puller? |

Got a hair dryer? warm up the hub for a bit, tap them out with a long drift and a light ( 12-18 ounce) hammer. pretty easy with the hub warmed up. Front bearing is a 6005. rear is 6006. Get the best bearings you can find. your life depends on them rolling. |

Put the new bearings in the freezer overnight. Take them out just before you put them in. You can also use one of the old bearings to seat the new ones. You will probably have to grind/sand the old one down some so it slides in and out easily but don't take it down too much. |
