Blackbelt... I've got a good friend who has his own martial arts school and has a son that is nationally ranked. I've seen him walk away from plenty of jerks and their taunts. The guy has saved a lot of peoples lives by having the self control to not kill them. Smoothy smooth, man. |

Run rather than hurt... and temper control is a huge thing. little things like that rarely if ever get me worked up. 18+ years in martial arts is just a plus.. lol Wheelie Fest SOUNDS AWESOME!... although I still suck. lol |

DJkaplan, reducing pressure in the tire increases the footprint under load which increases the grip. Not sure what pressure the stunters run. It would be very dangerous for normal street riding because it seriously hinders the handling of the bike. Does that help? |

Yeah, my stunting buddies run their tires verrrryy low. I used to keep it quite low when I did more stupid stuff. Now I just like riding wheelies on long roads with no cars, plus I'm getting old. As "Cereal" mentioned, it increases the foot print if your doing real slow stuff. I keep my regular bike a hair on the low side for that, but not low enough to cause problems cornering. And good point on "BuellTroll", like I mentioned......very unlikely he's over 20 or talked in that manner to anyone in person. Keyboard tuffness, seams to be a forum thing. The real funny thing is that I've got the chance to personally witness a few cases where and internet tuff guy ran into someone they were bashing on a forum. It's one of those things you know are bound to happen by chance. Anyway. it wasn't pretty.............bye the way, nice 10ft power wheelie in your profile "Buelltroll", maybe you should be paying a bit more attention to the thread instead of bashing it. |

XB12rude. Talking about profiles, could you please expand on how you managed to get your corvette onto 2 wheels at 160mph? Just out of curiosity. |

On a really tight corner............ha-ha. Actually it's been on two wheels all week working on the brake system......pain in the butt I must say. Well, just got back from some back road wheelies, rode one by a cop accidentally. Thank goodness he didn't run around. |

As an update. I think I'm starting to get it.. I tried the clutch up in 1st gear.. Yeah that came up real quick scary actually. I also usually ride right up against the airbox when i sit back a bit itll come right up with a bit of bounce. I wont be riding any soon but I am starting to get used to the feel of the front just comeing up and setting her back down gently. I'll keep practicing and it'll just get easier and easier. Also you can wheelie a 50? they have enough power or is it alot of pulling + throttle. Maybe a pitbike would help me improve without the possibility of scratching my buell. |

a 50 is the ultimate wheelie learner bike. Its so much fun and teaches you alot about keeping in your balance point |

Yep......as far as balance point and brake control, any small bike will work fine. I have lots of folks I ride with that never used another bike, but it does make it a bit safer to learn on. Just remember as your doing your first gear wheelies, practice bringing the front down with the rear brake. Good luck and be safe. |
