Hey all, I have been saving up for a while for my XB12R and have a couple grand to throw down on one. I was wondering if you guys had a preference to dealers in California Bay area. Tom |

Y'know you might consider talking to Buelldyno_guy Terry knows the good and the bad about most of the dealers in the area. Of course, if you come to So CA, I can always hook you up with Glendale.... (Message edited by slaughter on June 08, 2007) |

I have no idea about the dealers in the Bay Area. Maybe local Buellers can chime in. But keep this in mind, a good start on Buell ownership is to buy it from a fun dealer. I'm with Slaughter, Glendale will ensure it is a pleasant experience. And just imagine the maiden ride on HWY 1 on the way home! What better way to break in a bike. |

At Glendale, you will want to contact Ernie Snair (sales). He's an enthusiast. And two of the parts guys are Buell riders too. And... most important of all... Have fun Asbjorn |

I'm in the Bay Area and a year ago when I got my Ss, I ended up going down to Simi Valley to get mine after checking around all over here. Couldn't even find one up here for list. They had what I wanted for a great price and Andy was easy to deal with. |

I got mine from Peninsula Harley-Davidson in Redwood City. They have a good sales and parts department, the Service department needs work. The bike broke a valve spring, the bike was just about of warranty and couldn’t be ridden. I was told that couldn’t take the bike in for a month, and once the appointed date did come around I brought it to them and they began waffling on the warranty. They told me that the diagnostic charges would be my responsibility IF they decided I somehow abused the bike. Eventually they decided it was a factory defect and did the repairs, and the work was good, but the time required was almost 7 weeks before I got the bike back from them. That’s almost three months the bike wasn’t running. You would think if a customer who bought the bike there had a warranty issue they would try to resolve it a bit faster. |

Check out Ebay first. I couldn't disagree more. The only way I'd buy a bike this way was if the bike was local and I could go check it out first. |
