This weekend at Road America my Voltage Regulator went out during a short ride back to the camp site on Saturday Morning. Went over to the Buell Demo truck at the track and they hooked me up with a voltage regulator with no questions asked. Saved my weekend for sure. Now if only they could have done something about the rain.
Thanks again BMC for coming through.

Fantastic! Nice to see factory folks treat fellow Buellers like we treat each other...

Onthebumper, you got off easy... Another guy on an '03 XB9R broke his belt. Nobody but Appleton had one.

BudC from Hals called up Appleton and reserved the belt for this guy. Bud was working the Demo stands at RA, and couldn't get away to go get the new belt for this guy. So he called me up. I offered to run up to Appleton, and pick up the belt for this guy. I ran much later than I anticipated, getting the firebolt fairing and new Hella lights on my SuperTT. I left Waukesha at around 2:30. Didn't make it to Appleton until 4:30. And wouldn't ya know it, they close at 4:00 DOOOH!

Got on my cell phone, and there was a voice mail message from Bud, who said they left the new belt between the dumpsters by the loading dock... Whew!

So I took the new belt out of it's package, slung it around me like a sling bag, and booked it down to Elkhart Lake. Got there around 6:00-6:30

And it just so happens that Danny Bilansky's crew Chief, Dean was there to put it on for him. 10 minutes later, the guy was a happy camper with a new belt.

300 miles at 53 MPG... about $20 in gas
1 XB9R belt $160 retail
1 installation for said belt... $10 for 10 minutes
1 ridable Buell... Priceless : )
