Well after a second test ride I think I will forget the superduke for now. Don't get me wrong it's a super nice bike and I know I will want one still but the price is way too high for now. So I'm going to start looking for a XB12S new or used if I can find one not too far from me or I'll have to wait for the 08 to come out since the dealers around are out of 07 12S. There is a STT and a sunset orange SS but I want the S and not in sunset orange. |

ya gotta due what you feel I have an ss and I love it is all I can tell you. I rode my buddies s and the only difference I found was athe ss was a little less squirley in the turns and coming off a wheel stand otherwise I didn't really feel any difference. Keep in mind I am old and FAT so I don't kick the crap out of it. |

l agree with Brumbear. My Ss is a scream! l didn't want SS orange either, but now that l have it l've really grown to like it. l sure get a lot of "Oo's and ahh's" over the color. But what ever you choose to get you'll love it! |

I agree with the other fellows, plus the SS has a larger fuel tank.I really enjoy mine. |

Put me down as a major fan of the Ss as well. Probably the best all-around bike they CURRENTLY make (and a whole lot more reliable than my M2 Cyclone was... which would've been my first choice for best all-around bike Buell ever made). |

Mrs Buell 04 here. I have the Sunset Orange SS and the bike sure turns a lot of heads, Plus the Mr. put the handlebar guards on it and the headlight guard so he changed the look a little from the rest of the regular SS's. He also put different handlebars on so I can sit up a little higher and straighter. He has the Barricade Orange ULY and when we ride with the HOG group--Well, just guess who gets all the attention? All eyes are on the Buells. Those two bright colors really stand out amongst all the rest plus they are a novelity here since our Harley Dealer does not sell Buells yet. We would not trade our Buells for any other bikes in the world! THEY RULE! |

"Those two bright colors really stand out amongst all the rest plus they are a novelity here since our Harley Dealer does not sell Buells yet." Now there is an optimist! I bet you could find a real cheap good used XB12S out there. |

Guys I never said the ss aren't nice bikes I just prefer the look of the s a bit more what I don't like is the sunset orange and it's the only one left they got. For looking for a used one believe me at the price they go for I would love to get my hands on a nice use one but here on the Canadian west coast they are pretty hard to find it seems that they are all on the east coast. |

Put the black skins on that bike, it will give you a new perspective on that Sunset color. Summer is here, ride it like you own it. |

One of the sweetest looking pairs you'll find on the curves in Efiingham County Illinois. At least in our opinion! Refering to the picture in the post above this one.} |

Hey--I am really just teasing you. To each his own...that's why there are so many choices! Isn't America wonderful? I got my Sunset Orange so I would be different from all the rest...and so far I have succeeded pretty well. I would hate to have just too many out there just like it. When I had my Sporster Custom, we'd go places and I would have to look at the license plate to see which bike was mine. With my Orange SS, I sure don't have that problem. Get want you want and ENJOY! |

Well around here the only other Buells are a yellow M2 and a cherry bomb XB12S so with the black I'll be fine. |

Hi; Don't be to quick to dump your DRZ. You will meed a wheelbarrow full of cash just to pay for routine maintenance. If I had read the owners manual before I bought the bike, I would not be a Buell owner. Sungull |

Wheelbarrow full of cash? I must have gotten a different kind of Buell. |

Sungull, If you are putting 30,000 miles a year on your STT, are they road miles or dirt miles? Some of us are finding that if you don't beat your suspension in the dirt the oil change in the forks can be postponed to about half what the book says. I've done 15,000 last year and will be doing the fork oil service at 20,000 for the first time. Check the archives from about six months ago, a few people changed theirs and found that the oil was in great shape at 10,000 and stated that they saw no reason for changing it so often. Also, just so you know, a lot of Buell owners have been doing their own maintenance because of the help they can get here on the BadWebb. If you are interested that help is available to you also! |

Thats exactly what I intend to do when it will come to maintenance. I guess that if I can maintain airplane engines I should be able to do it myself on the Buell. |

Hi; I just phoned a H/D dealer to have my TPS reset. I asked them if I could reset it myself or have a non H/D dealer do it. They said it would void my warranty. This came from the Canadian Distributors own dealership. Getting warranty work done in Canada isn't easy. Sungull |

Must be Canadian HD/Buell sucks as bad as some of the "sucky" US ones. Sorry to hear that you are being abused. It appears that those of us with quality dealers are not only lucky to have them, but are being treated pretty well about the self servicing issue. Maybe Buell has recognized that we, as the owners of the Buells, get a much better job done from working together on the BadWebb than a lot of dealers care to do. |
