I am looking to add a little power to my bike, with a little extra sound. I am mainly going for a little more noise without the maintainence/power loss of the jardine. The econo drummer and special ops seem to be similar in design and price. Is there a better one of the two, and since they still both use the factory servo, what happens if I switch to the race ecm later? |

the drummer doesn't have the servo, and the race ecm won't control the servo |

the econo drummer does use the servo, but the other half of presky's response is accurate. |

Power loss with Jardine? Who says you loose power with a Jardine? |

I was thinking about an econo drummer for my 12R as well. Something with a bit more noise and a bit more power, I liked the idea of keeping the stock ecm and servo for the low end torque. Then I though i might want to go the Race ECM route in the future so maybe the original drummer is the better option. Anyone know how the Econo Drummer with stock ECM compares to the Original Drummer with the race ECM. I still want to keep all the low end grunt for the street. Does anyone know if I can get a Drummer without supplying my own exhaust as I need to keep it for inspection. (Message edited by paul_in_japan on May 18, 2007) |
