My 60mph lowside get off resulted in ZERO swingarm or fork damage. Little bit under the engine case and some were the puck sliders in the garage should have been.

Jeremy - Thanks, I'm glad that you like them. You were definitely one of the guys that encouraged us to develop these. Jerry - Thanks. We were supposed to get the fronts from the machine shop today. Hopefully tomorrow. Donnie - I put mine on a wheel stand with these sliders all the time. To date, we've not had one complaint about them not fitting any make of rear wheel stand. The ones in the photo are the aluminum version, but the spool dimensions are exactly the same as the new composite sliders.
![DHM XB9S](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/273830.jpg) Vern - I hope that none of you ever need them. Crashing sucks. That is my swing arm that is all scratched up on our web page. Keith |

Some of the earlier Pitbull stands are a little too narrow, DAMHIK. Easily cured with about an 1" long section of 1 1/2" round tubing and a TIG welder. |

I think the main benefit is that the ends are replacable for a lot less than a new set of aluminum ones. Now you don't have to live with scratched sliders if you do go down. I'm in for a full set when the fronts are done, just waiting. |

Cliff - Not a dumb question at all. There have been several debates here on BadWeB as to which material is better. I believe there are advantages to both. We plan to offer aluminum buttons as well. Proving which material is better is another matter altogether unless one of you are willing to perform some crash testing for us! Christopher - The fronts should ready to ship next week. Captain Nartman - Thanks! |

I wanted the delrin because of the decreased tendency for it to "dig in" to road surfaces vs the delrin's tendency to shed material. The aluminum will also tend to have a lower friction coefficient than the delrin. Theoretically, it would mean that the delrin friction would cause the bike to come to a stop sooner and decrease post crash slide speeds and distances. The trade off is that you have to have enough material so that it will shed delrin yet still have enough intact so as to provide protection. You wouldn't want a delrin slider of the same size as an aluminum billet one. What is nice about the composite design is that if you have a REALLY gnarly slide, there is still billet aluminum behind the delrin. The delrin design from DHM also has the benefit of being easily replaceable. |

FB.........Excuse me...............but for what do you need the sliders........almost 2 cm of the tire flanks on either side of our bike are unused. ..............and another little tip.......you should look more after your wheel bearings. The corrosion shown can easily avoided with a little acid free grease ................anyway.........the sliders are need. tiger |

hi...............okay..........I admit.......I tried teasing you ..........I also use sliders..........I do use the ones from LSL and these are a pain to remove from the axlee when left for a couple weeks due to the deformation of the rubber inserts. The principle of the sliders shown is a very good solution. tiger |
