Yesterday rode 70 miles to Liberty Buell (Rahway) and test rode the Ulysses. I was very impressed with the riding ergonomics, and was amazed at how easy the handling is for this type of bike. At first I was worried that I was not going to be able to reach the ground, but the bike feels very light, so I had no problem stopping and holding the bike straight with just the tips of my boots. It was strange stopping next to an SUV and being taller or at the same eye level as the driver, this coming from my experience with my 12R. I rode the bike for about 30 minutes over paved roads as well as through a pot-holed filled mess, and even had to climb a sidewalk! Everything felt very stable and comfortable. I can imagine myself this summer already through dirt roads near Moab, Utah! Seems like I'll be purchasing something like this in the next few weeks, so I have posted my '07 XB12R for sale in the classifieds. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 273729.html?1177537556 For the guys at Liberty - thanks for letting me take the Ulysses for a long ride. Jeese - I thought I was the only fickle one around here Traded my 07 city X for a 07 12scg just recently. Your trade makes more sense - as they 2 very different rides. Im sure you will enjoy the Uly for the long trip - Happy Riding ! (Message edited by moondust on April 25, 2007) |

If the Uly is a hair tall for you, have you tried the TT ? Same tires, just a little less suspension travel. I'd call it a great compromise bike. Down side is the TT doesn't have all that storage or the power outlets so if you need them stick with the Uly. I don't so I do love my TT ! |

My hubby and I test rode a ULY last weekend and it was probably the most comfortable 2up ride I've been on. Incredible suspension, didn't feel anything. Unfortunately, my feet are about 6" off the ground so I'll never be able to ride that bike. Ended up getting a TT though (for my hubby). Someday, when all the bills are paid for, would love to get the ULY for the 2up days and off road. |

Hey Jewels, you know Buell offers a two up configuration for the TT on their website, right? Just FYI in case you didn't. ~SM |

You bet, Swordsman. I definitely know about the 2 up on the TT. We have already talked about it cause it sure would be nice to go off-road with that baby. Thanks, Jewels |
