Ever since I had started reading and posting on BadWeb, I have envied so many of you because of how many of you ride together (only one person close I know with a Buell), the places you ride (Deal's Gap and others), and that many of you are close to a Buell shop of good repute (an awesome one very close closed a couple of years ago).

Last Tuesday, I went to Corbin in Hollister, Ca for an appointment for my 12R to get fitted with a new Corbin seat. Of course, there are many other seats out there for our bikes that may be just as comfortable as a Corbin and, as a matter of fact, anyone could order one with choice of leather, vinyl, colors, etc... But, if you are able to get to one of the two Corbin shops in the U.S., I'd highly recommend it.

When we (two buddies and myself got our seats done) got to the factory, they had a Corbin "stock" seat ready for each of our bikes. After they had checked it for fit on the bike itself, we were asked to sit on it and take it for a short ride. We then told the "artisan" what else we wanted done to the seat if needed. I had the back of the seat built up a bit and the seat scalloped out to drop about quarter of an inch. After a short wait, another small modification on the seat, and another test ride, we got to choose what type of leather or vinyl to put on and where on the seat it would go. Incidentally, I got "carbon fiber" leather with "gripper" vinyl on a couple of spots of the seat to assist when "hanging off." Lastly, we had the choice of color of the "Corbin" logo to put on the bike. While that was getting all done, Corbin footed for breakfast and lunch at their connected restaurant which tasted awesome.

All this cost me the same price as it would have if I had ordered the seat online and shipped to me.

Although it was a one time shot, I really felt fortunate to live relatively close (80 miles) to the Corbin factory and have the experience. I know it's not like having Deal's gap in my backyard, but it sure was something special.

Anyone feel lucky about anything regarding your bike or a ride and even sorry for those that probably won't have the same experience?

Of course, having a Buell in the first place and good friends to ride with is fortunate... period. : )}

Yes.
I live near the Great North Georgia Mountains.
I'm part of the 3%ers.
I'm 30 minutes from Stone Mountain H-D & Buell, the best Buell dealer in the Great Southeast.
I have because of those three things have the best friends ever, that, has to be the best part.

We all share in being part of the BadWeB!
So I feel sorry for those that are Buell-less.
I feel sorry for those BadWeB-less.

Fly and ride program. I have one of every model of Buell on the floor NOW. Selling them all at MSRP. WE will pick you up from our local Bremerton Airport, and help you get on the road by the end of the day, headed back south. : D

I feel pretty lucky to be the first Bueller to have new parts(07 model) laser cut at Drastix Plastiks as I was told me at this time they will never do another. They said the air box cover( finished outside not inner) was so hard their laser couldn't cut through it and have contacted Buell to find out what they're made of. I'll post pics as soon as it's shipped back.
