the buell tech at my dealer says the stock ecm cannot be remapped, that just sounds weird to me but is it true. thanks in advance |

i second the hammer......talk to al i just did thre days ago sais i can use my race or my stock ecm my choice |

I remapped my stock ecm, using Directlink. Mines an 03 tho. Sold my race ecm for way more than the stock one was worth. |

If one wanted to, one could re-map a stock ECM to be the exact same as a RACE ECM. |

ummm - isn't the rev limiter hard programmed in both ECM's (7500 vs 8500)? Also while the MAPS may overlap, the algorythms that work the data are not available via direct link... so they wont work the same even with identical maps |

Are you saying the newer model 9 ecms have a 8500 rev limiter? |

The rev limits for the race ECMs are the same as for the stock modules. Highly doubtful that there are different algorithms for race versus stock ECMs. |
