Okay, I just looked at a brand new 2004 XB12S thats a 04 carry-over. Build date of July 2003. The dealer wants $9200 + tax, seems a little high, what do you guys think a reasonable offer would be for this bike? $8500 out the door? Thanks |

I bought my 2005 xb12s last may (06) for $8495. It was $2000 off the price of the then brand new, 06's. This was in NH so no sales tax. Mine was also brand new; it had 5 miles on the odometer. So yes, I think that they are asking a bit much. $8500 seems reasonable. |

Go to Forman H-D in Stillwater, OK and you can buy a new black '06 Firebolt for $8500 out the door. I paid $7000 otd in July '05 for a holdover 04 Lightning. |

I bought an '04 XB12S last year, from Fletchers in St. Pete, FL for $7800. out the door. And, they financed it! Sounds like a rip to me? |

Thanks guys, the bike does have over 350 miles on it to. I guess thats why its still around. From what your saying, $8500 is pretty darn high—more like $7500 OTD. No matter how you put it, the bike is now 3 years old. |

I bought my 04 Lightning in May 05, Demo bike, 400 miles on it. $9100 OTD and that's with a two year extended warranty. But, like I said, that was in 05, two years ago. On that bike NOW, I might go for $7500 OTD with factory AND extended warranty. If they want to move the bike bad enough they'll go for it. |

I just bought a 06 Lighnting XB9 City w/ 380 miles on it for 6600 otd(that includes the lame paper work), always HD owned. Their original sticker was 8k when I first went in(not including lame 300 for the paper work). As you can tell I am not a fan of the 300 dollars they charge for doing paper work. It almost killed the purchase but they ended up eating most of it. |
