Does anyone have this seat unit on their XB? If so, what do you think of it, is the actual seat ok or a literal p.i.a? Thanx in advance.  | ||

|I had one on my Cae Racer project bike, and have sold quite a few with no complaints re: comfort. This seat is actually a lot more comfortable than you would think, even with just a couple of pieces of seat foam attached. If you fit the 'deluxe' seat pad as shown above then it is very good. It is also narrower then the stock seat, and gives a much better seating position. The 'jacked up' version is a little more extreme and puts a lot more weight on your wrists, although the actual seat is the same. The best feature with these seats though is that you can just put you original seat back on in around 10 minutes if you need to do a longer journey or carry a passenger   | ||

You can get them here in both the stock height or 'jacked up' eurofighter options: www.trojan-horse.co.uk . Just look in the bodywrok section The tail piece is not included, but there is a large choice of suitabel cheesegrater eliminators available that will fit with this piece, or you could use the original stock tail piece. You don't have to move are modify any of the underseat area or components for this seat. It attaches using the two upper subframe mounting bolts at the front, and a single 6mm bolt at the rear. The rear mounting bolt is moulded into the underside of the seat unit, and you need to drill a small hole in the underside of the tailpiece for this to fit through.  | ||

I've got one and I have the seat also but just not in the picture. I like but you do feel the engine heat much more from the rear cylinder.  | ||

i find the seat to be very comfortable. i have no problem doing 2 or 3 five hundred mile days in a row. but as Dana said, it does through more heat on your right leg when sitting in traffic. i has been on my bike for about 17k miles.  brian | ||

Hey Guys, if im reading you correctly,youre saying that heat is coming through the actual seat unit??? If so, isnt it possible to fit some sort of heat reflector?? Matt, my birthday is in May, make sure you got one in stock.!! | ||

julian the heat does not come through the seat. the way the seat is designed, it exposes more of the rear cylinder by your thighs. this is a pic of a stock seat.  the seat in question.  look were the seat connects to the airbox cover to see what i am talking about. brian | ||

Brian, thanx 4 that. Ive seen your bike a few times on here, its got plenty of ATTITUDE, Whenever i see it it brings to mind the word "stealth", dunno why!!! Sure like it tho. By the looks of your 1st pic i'd say you used to have a seat cowl fitted. I was thinkin of doin this but i want to add a little more colour to my bike, the seat unit will give me the chance to be creative with the paintwork, as the piece is supplied unpainted. | ||

Mine is the stock '03 belt guard, looks like crap-ola! I like the tail on your bike. I've never been big on that whole super-short tail look, but yours is clean. |
