I like Jap Crap. That's why my girlfriend rides an SV650. It's Buellish without the high price and very reliable. I know some other Buellers that have Jap Crap too. What are you trying to say? |

A lot of people just don't 'get' Buells. Why worry? I may ride alone, but I ride happy! |

My step-dad's college friend just e-mailed my wife asking "Have you or Chris ever ridden something called a Buell? My son is interested in getting one." Helllooooo! Had three of them since 2000, am a fanatic, and try to convince others to ride Buells. My father in law rides one, my friends ride 'em... Yeah, I think I've heard of them before! |

Why would a sportbike rider hate Buell? I'm a sportbike rider, always have been, and don't like cruisers. But hating Buell because they are associated with Harley-Davidson is really wierd. I've owned Japanese and European sportbikes and like them, but I am glad there is an American choice. I'm not anti-import, but I'm also not anti-American. People are so strange. |

The SV650 is a great bike for the price, especially older ones (before they made the frame so ugly). Great bike for $5500 (or whatever they run these days). The XB9s handles better and probably makes more power (certainly it makes more usable power), but costs more. I would not hesitate to recommend either bike to a friend... both make great sense at their price point. Ditto the VStrom. It does less then a Uly (IMHO), but costs less as well, and both make sense at their price points. |

Right on Tim! I love just about all Jap stuff... cars, bikes, animation, music, food, and yes, the girls! Their horror movies kinda' suck, but I can forgive them that one thing. Just steer clear of their porn. Freakin' weirdos, they are! ~SM |

Ha Ha Ha! That's funny Swordman! But true! Imonabuss - I hear ya homey! I got a sportbike rider who lives next door and him and his sportbike riding friends all ride foreign bikes, but they think my Buell is cool, 'till I drown them out when we take off! But I gave 'em some earplugs, 'cause I'm the helpful sort! But you're so right, people are so strange! Midknyte - See, thats what I'm talkin' 'bout! That's what I call a HOT RIDE! You figure out which one I mean! |

That's about like having a guy in a Civic Si tell you he doesn't like your Panoz because he hates Ford. Some people are just weird. |

If I'm not mistaken, the motorcycle comprising the most American manufactured parts is the Honda Goldwing... how's THAT for irony? |

Well I work with a bunch of Hard Core Harley guys and they don't seem to like my Buell. They are always saying things like "..when you get a Real Harley" and "why didn't you buy a Sporster-same price.." I just tell them that jealousy is a powerful thing! Go Figure... I love my Buell., I think a lot of people put them down because they are scared of the power and speed capabilities of these bikes. |

I hear that "get a real Harley thing all the time at work to." I got my friend back yesterday afternoon. He called and said he wanted to go riding. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to ride with a bike he didn't like? Ha. I rode the Buell yesterday and I fell in love with it all over again. This is my third season riding it, and I never get tired of it. You guys are right, as long as we like it, all that matters. Greg |

Some people just won't be happy until Ford, Chevy, and Dodge make 2 wheelers! To each their own! My metric buddies give me sh*t all the time for riding a Buell. They seem pretty silent when my '06 Ss gets more attention when were out riding then their Busa's and ZX-14's. I tell 'em I ride a Buell because I want to. Hell, it's my money! Go Sox in '07! |

Good point about more attention. I know our bikes catch a lot of that. I am heading out for a ride again today! GM |

Next time yer work buddies tell you to get a "real Harley", tell them that if they want you to have a Harley so bad, you'll race 'em for "pinks" and then you'll have one! Then you can sell it so you can buy 2 or 3 used Buells! HellBuelly J "Jealousy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius." --Fulton J. SheenBuelly |

I find a lot of people who've never seen a Buell, but know that it's somehow associated with H-D, assume my Firebolt must be some kind of cruiser. When they finally see it, some have asked, "Didn't you say your bike was made by Harley?" (not that I ever say that, but people seldom listen to the details) Then there are those who see it but don't know what it is, and assume it's Italian ("Is that a Ducati?") The guys who do know what it is--and a lot of Harley riders seem to know--all think it's a pretty cool bike. I've never, ever been told to "Get a real bike!" (well, except for one guy, a former roadracer who owns a Ducati shop and rides a 999R) |

"Get a real Harley!" I did. I got what Harley Davidson would have grown up to be if it hadn't been hit in the head with a hammer in the 50's and become the technological drooling retarded kid in the corner. Today was the first multiple Buell ride I've been on. There were four of us. You should have seen the attention we got EVERYWHERE! Very fun. See four GSXRs together and you think "what a bunch of tools". |
