Man I hate Bad customer service!! I ordered a spring compressor kit and some fork oil from Traxxion Dynamics on Wednesday. I called them today trying to get a tracking number and was told that they didn't have any kits in stock, and there isn't anyone there to tell me when my order will be filled until the 12th. You'd think if it was going to be that long somebody could have sent an e-mail or something. So now my bike sits in the garage in pieces. I know it's only the first week of March in Wisconsin, but I don't exactly have all the time in the world to work on it either, so time between now and the riding season is ticking. I'm done venting now. Thanks, Schmitty |

Thanks for the headsup on that. Sounds like they're not too serious about getting mail order business. I am very sensitive to the service I receive from companies. There's just too much competition to expect anything less than top notch. I'll be crossing them off my list of suppliers. Talk to Al @ American Sport Bike. He can get what you need FAST and will bend over backwards and do handstands to get/keep your business. He and his wife are straight shooters that have always gone out of their way to make me happy. That's why I've dropped a couple of thousand in his store so far and tell everyone I know about their business. |

Sucks, but it will still be done sooner than if you'd have brought it to a dealer. I second the reccomendation of Al at AM Sport Bike. Nick (Message edited by naustin on March 02, 2007) |

Yikes! I had always gotten decent service from Traxxion. Here's what you ought to do - order the same stuff from Racetech, send the receipts and reasons to Traxxion. I know that Traxxion is buried alive with got, mother and country starting the season. They're currently servicing about 100 racers if this year is anything like the past few. It's still no excuse for poor communication! |

Traxxion Dynamics is ordinarily very responsive. Every company can fall down occasionally. Have you "moved it up the chain"? TD is a small company. I can't imagine big company apathy with an issue like this. Help them help you!

There is this little event in Florida this week. You may have heard of it. DAYTONA BIKE WEEK! A small shop tied to racing, maybe "out of the office" this week. (Message edited by gowindward on March 02, 2007) |

Fair enough Windward, but they sure didn't hesitate to send me a confirmation e-mail thanking me for my order. TX05, I don't doubt that Al is a great guy, and does bend over backward and do handstands for customers. The problem is that Traxxion's spring compressor is $36 and Al's is $129. So unless Al can do a triple back flip with a double twist, or offer one hell of a BadWeb discount I'm kinda screwed. Schmitty |

Thanks for the props, guys. Yea, different type. The TD one is a two person affair, I think. One person to hold and push down on the fork spring, and another to slide a keeper in. The Race Tech one we sell is a little more elegant, makes it a one person job. But yea, it's a lot more expensive. I sent mail to TD earlier this week to possibly get set up as a dealer for them, so maybe we'll have theirs to offer as well soon. But all too late to help Schmitty. Al |

Schmitty - I built the tool for about 30 bucks worth of material and an afternoon. If you are in need of one let me know and you can borrow mine. ps. I see you work for the "other" manufactuer as we say down here. how are they as an employer? |

See if the shop would let you "borrow" theirs. Talk to Terry Flynn in service. Tell him what the deal is and maybe he can hook you up. |

Al, When or if you can offer a fork spring compressor for under $50 that will work on a Uly, post it on BB&Dirty and I'll give you a call. |

Here's a quick update on the situation. I got a call from Dan at Traxxion Dynamics today and he apologized for the misunderstanding about the spring compressor kit. Apparently, they were late coming out of the machine shop, and he found them today. After apologizing several more times, he told me he would ship my order out right away. And as a courtesy he was going to ship it UPS Next Day Air so I would have it tomorrow!!This is the type of service I had heard about from these guys. So I am officially issuing a retraction of the negative publicity I posted above about Traxxion. Man I love it when a situation like this takes care of itself!! Schmitty |
