Hey folks,

I need to get some real user opinions on these rizomas - I have oberon bar ends which are reeeeeeal classy ! but I need a wider field of view & I want to put my hand guards back on my city x - I read for some of you that the 851's are a little too small - which will defeat the object so whats your opinions on these & the dynamic -

cheers

I've got the radial naked ones, similar to the dynamics:

They are top notch quality. Are pretty stable, good optics. One thing to note is that you definitely need to do a little elbow dipping to see behind you... a trade off from the stock mickey mouse mirrors I guess. Bar ends are a great alternative, but for me, I have clip-on bars, felt they were a little low.

Got a Rizoma Circuit 998, mirror body appears to be similar to the 851... which means it's fairly useless as a mirror.

Rizoma Circuit 998

Very nicely made, though, including the mounting hardware. Fun bling if you ALWAYS check traffic over your shoulder before making a lane change. Satisfies legal requirements for mirror equipment, but not useful IMHO. Perfect fit in my XB's brake master assembly (correct threads).

I find the visibility for the 851s to be better than stock. The stock mirrors were much closer in to the center line than the 851s. If you're skinny, the stock mirrors are better. I always got a great view of my shoulder and chest.

I still have to slide my elbow a bit with the 851s, but less than stock.

I always check over my shoulders. I'm an MSF graduate! ;)

I check too but with the bar ends - it just feels uncomfy..

With the loilipops - I didn't have to work so hard but actually having to look down & fixing a view, makes em more difficult.

I think the rizoma reverse ones would be good but that means having to opt for barend weights also

Well after a considerable amount of reading on various forums - I've opted for the Dynamic's from Trojan.

I saw alot of Rizoma 851 bashing in Duc forums & Jap bike forums - wow those guy's really hate this mirror - the functionality scores 0 they look stylish - but whats the point.
Anyway - i sure do hope the Rizoma Dynamics work well - they seem to be a little bigger than the 851's & generally - the feedback ( if any ) seems to be fair to Ok on these.

If I had the $$ I'd go with the Dynamics as well. I just like the looks of them better than the 851s (though I certainly wouldn't refuse a set of 851s: ))

Don't forget those adapters.

We have the rizoma grips in stock in silver/black/gold most of the time. Other colours are available to order (blue/red).
They have changed the design slightly for 2007 with a new pattern of rubber grip as shown below.

The bar ends shown are also new for 2007 and are not on our site yet (but will be next week!)
Grips cost GBP29.79 per pair (approx US$58) and secure using two grub screws under the bar, so you can remove them without having to cut them off. The throttle side ais a complete throttle tube and comes with a choice of cable guides for quicker throttle action : )

Lever shown is one of the new Rizoma hinged and adjustable brake/clutch levers, also available in matching colours.

Thanks for the info on the new products Trojan --> Looking forward to getting my Aero Headers from you

But what is the grip in the earlier pic?...it does not look like a Rizoma grip at least not the one that I've seen on their site in the last year or so.

That is also a Rizoma but one that was discontinued around 4 years ago I think. The Circuit 998 mirror has been out of the range for 3 years and the grips were changed before that.

I just took off a pair of Dynamics because I had to move my arms to see behind and found them a bit small. Too bad, I liked the way they looked. I put the mouse ears back on until I find something else. Don't like the bar ends because they make the bike wider. I like the looks of the Rizoma Class but they might have the same problem as the Dynamics since they look like they have the same arm. Ah well, the unending search for mirrors that look good and work.
