Does anyone have any experience with the both the '05 and '07 CityX seats? My '05 was great for short trips around town, but horrible for rides of more than an hour or so. A friend just got an '07 CityX and his seat feels quite a bit better than mine when I sit on it, but he hasn't had a chance to take any longer trips with it to tell how it feels. For those of you who have tried both, some questions: first, am I crazy? Second, are the '07 seats better for longer trips than the '05s? Thanks in advance. |

Have you noticed the texture on the 07 seats. Its not smooth like on the 05.... Another thing could be his suspension settings... Ask him if he will let you switch seats for a short ride... |

I have an '07 seat in my garage (a Corbin on there now). I think it is slightly better than my '06 seat. The texture keeps you from sliding around and I didn't experience as much discomfort (ie, I could ride longer) on it as I did with the original seat. --Sean |

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yeah, the texture seemed nicer. Oh, and his suspension was set to the same as mine (I set it up for him). I currently run a Streetfigter seat and love it's seat comfort, but I'm 6'2" and find that it locks me in place a bit more than I'd like, which causes me some discomfort on longer rides. Soooooo . . . I may just take the plunge and buy an '07 seat and give it a try. |
