try lrrsracing.com this is the website for the northeast ccs club at loudon. they have a rule book that you can down-load that has wire sizes, drill sizes and twisting methods for all sorts of bolt configurations. |

I suspect you know but you'll need to buy a saftywire drill set/jig too. Otherwise you will probablu break a few drillbits. http://www.irvansmith.com/catalog2/parts/safety_wi re.shtml good overview, but like jetrider said, check with the track youa re riding at to see if they have specific requirements...unless you are just doing it for shiz and giggles http://www.whizwheels.com/Tips/safetywiring.html |

Check with your race organization. They vary TONS. AMA for example doesn't require half the safety wire as most of the Clubs. Buy a half dozen 1/16 drills - buy the drill fixtures. Use a drill press. Use coolant/lube - PECK DRILL - don't drill in one pass (it'll break the drill every time and you end up with bolt heads that look like porcupines) This is the article that we refer folks to who are new to WSMC racing: http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0002_hand/ (Message edited by slaughter on February 19, 2007) Blake fix link.
