Here are some pics of the MRA Streetshield I had up for sale awhile back. I didn't like the size and shape of the original and was gonna sell it, but decided to experiment instead. I'm pretty happy with the results, though I haven't had a chance to test it's wind-blocking capability just yet (20's in the morning, 30's in the evening... no way I'm riding to work!). The shape was done with a band saw and file. I painted the front brackets black to help hide them, and installed self-adhesive foam to fill the gap between the shield and the stock flyscreen. I still need to go back and cut off about 2 inches of the mounting arms, since they stick out much further than they need to... they just miss the gas cap right now, but I want them totally out of the way. For anyone that's interested, I got the screen and mounting kit from www.TwistedThrottle.com. There are definitely cheaper methods out there, but I wanted something different. ~SM |

Looks like a good sturdy mounting job. Nicely done! Let us know how it turns out on the road once it warms up. |
