If that's really a Firebolt engine, then that's the way Sportsters should come from the factory: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-Harley-Davidson- XL-1200-Streetfighter-buell-engine_W0QQitemZ200077 573784QQihZ010QQcategoryZ49995QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

I tell you one thing, that ain't no XB motor! It has XB rocker covers and it may have XB internals but those are standard sporty motor cases |

Never seen a Buell with polished fins on the cylinders or heads. |

Yea, they have black cylinders with polished fins. I've got them on my '95 S2. That engine could very well be from a tuber, they do interchange, '98 was a good year for tuber motors, thunderstorm heads, etc. I don't know about the "adjustable suspension" though. looks pretty stock to me, just alot of chrome. Perhaps he's just trying to jump on the buell power bandwagon... |

I think it's just a highly modified Sporty and as Bartimus pointed out, he's probably trying to jump on the Buell bandwagon. |

HO-LEE CRAP I'm getting sick of EVERYTHING being called a "streetfighter" nowadays! Talk about a buzzword! (from the listing): "This is a one of a kind street fighter, that will out performance most of the bikes in your neighborhood." ~SM |

probably has the 1203 thunderstorm heads, but that block is all sporty. And really it needs to go on a severe diet to compete with even a stock XB. When will Harley guys learn that chrome is HEAVY and dead weight? But points for being the delicious shade of orange. At least he didnt try and call it a "bobber" |

It could be 05 Sporty heads, they are the same port, valve and combustion config as a XB but with polished fins and drill outs for the breathers. BUT The front heads mounting bosses are the same distance apart as a XB. SO that front mount would have to be modified and it looks like a stock piece... |

You can just look at the case covers and see that it isn't an XB motor. Since you made a comment about sportys should have the XB motor, you should know that they basically do now. From what I've been told the sporty engine from 04 or 05 on is more Buell than anything. |

Sportster 1200's starting in 2004 have the same heads, cylinders, and rotating assembly as the XB bikes. All that's different is the compression ratio (9.7:1 vs 10:1) and the cams. And of course the induction system. |

Well, XL1200, actually that's not true, since I've been inside both. There are a LOT more differences than people think. Can't say which choices are better, or why they are so different, but they definitely are. And since I love my CityX, I vote for the XB version. |

That lil Blast hardtail looks like a fun town hopper too. Push it to 602, and ride it like you stole it. |
