just got back from the chicago ims show. the buell booth didnt impress me. there was a bunch of stock bikes and 1 that was painted up with an american flag type paintjob (someone posted it here on another thread). most of the other manufactuers (honda/yamaha/suzuki) had custom bikes that were all tricked out. kind of disapointing. i did get one of the tee shirts, but i wouldve rather seen a couple of customized buells. oh, dont get me wrong. i had a good time and it was a good show. but it would have been nice to see some 'different' buells along with the ones that you can see at the dealership. there were some pretty cool ducatis there. that 1098 is a very nice bike. |

was it me or was that little booth/room that ducati had a bit too small. it was elbow to elbow and wall to wall in there. |

I went to the show today and I liked it! I enjoyed Buell's booth the best of all! They had every model and color of all the Buells along with the XB12R on a stand with a cut-away of the bike showing the frame cut-away. Lots of people sitting on Buells and looking at their models on display. Many pictures taken of Bubba Blackwell's XB12S on a stand showing a wheelie. I also liked Harley-Davidson's booth too. As far as the Ducati booth, nothing in the boot impressed me, especially not the motorcycles! But the girl working at the entrance handing out literature was far better looking that the motorcycles! |

The cut away 12r was awesome, I really liked that. Same thing w/ the engines in BMW's booth. |

Some buddies and I went to there Saturday. I thought it was a really good show. There were a lot of people sitting on the Buell display bikes. Hopefully sales will go up and dealers will stop dropping them. There were some good deals to be had all over the place. I bought a nice mesh jacket from the Bates Leathers display. Bought a couple other items that I would have had to pay twice as much at the dealer for, plus shipping. There were really good deals on helmets there, too. I plan on going again next year. |

Hey Cyclone Dan, Was that girl at the Ducati booth a dark haired, young, shorter gal (could be Italian, hmmm wonder if it is a coincidence)? She sorta just sat there, smiled and looked pretty? Just wondering if it was the same girl I saw in San Mateo? If so, you are right about her being a complete knockout, just beautiful. |

Oh and show was cool too--once my friends and I figured out that there were FIVE buildings of stuff, not just the TWO we kept walking back and forth between! Talk about dumb. |

Sorry, the show I was referring to was in San Mateo, out here in California. Didn't mean to cause you a panic. Yeah, we found the other 3 buildings with only an hour left in the day--sorta was a bummer than we had to rush. They were the buildings with all the accessory items for the most part. |
