My GF did not like riding on the back of my CityX. Whenever we slowed down she found it hard to not slide forward
She likes ridiing on the Firebolt tho.
I do have the touring seats for longer trips and leave the normal seats on for trips around town.
Once I get my Helibars installed, that is going to make it even more comfortable |

My wife is scared crapless when it comes to motorcycles. She knows it is something that makes me very happy, so she doesn't try to keep me from it.
I could probably get her on a touring bike though. I have a feeling she would love it. Her dad has an 02 Electra-Glide that he bought, but never rides. I should try to take her for a ride on that one day. |

my girlfriend loves the back of the S1W for 1 hr or less at a time, she coined the term "motorgasm"!
we've taken trips 3 hrs each way, with many stretching breaks along the way, and it was ok. we bought a cool kneee/back support thingy called The S'port Backer at the state fair in Sacramento that helped her a lot! (http://www.nadachair.com/products.html)
she liked the Uly rental better for comfort, but not as exciting!! if you get my drift!?
she has her own Blast and is learning to ride. but still likes the occasional two upper. |

lol, i will never forget when I had Jenny with me on the back.. I did a small wheelie and the guys I were with said they could have heard her for blocks. HAHA.. but yeah, not much room on the CityX for the her, she isn't big or anything, but she liked the gixxer better. More room. Take care. |

After having these similar problems for a couple of months my best advice is to get your g.f, wife, old lady, mistress or whatever you call her, to ride her own machine. After just a few trips with my wife on the back of my '06 Ss I realized this wasn't going to work. Bought her a used '04 Suzuki DR-200 dual sport to cut her teeth on and get her endorsement. After she managed that we moved her onto a new '06 Blast and sold the DR to a friends wife for the same reason. Now she seems to have more time to ride than I do. Now every time I get home late from work, and the weather's favorable, my Ss Long is the only bike in the garage!!! |

The vibe ryder is nice, but at the price, I think there are better accessories to be had. A good down shift around a corner gives one hell of a thrill too  |

my lady loves it, but with three kids its getting tougher to find time or money for a sitter, thus the bike is getting taken to a single seat. go for a quick put put around the neighborhood, warm her into it. My wife had never been on the back of one, so we just went for short rides at first, then started taking 8 to 10 hr. rides, on a cyclone-no complaints except when it rained...she would joke that I was her mudflap, but still liked/wanted to go... |

My wife grew up on the back of her dad's bike and has always loved them. They went down when she was 13. Oddly enough since then the only person whose bike she'll ride on the back of is his.
No problems, however, because we both took the MSF course the same weekend about 8 seasons ago, me with my Buell, her with her BMW, and she's been riding on her own ever since. I'm pretty glad too because now I've got someone to carry all of our stuff for the bike rallies!
This was in July 2004 - she was six months pregnant and we had about six hours of riding to get to our destination.
I got her a second bike (1996 BMW R850R) for her birthday last November, so now she has more bikes than I do. |

Only bike my ex ever was on was my uncle's Gezzer Glide and my S2. She loved the bagger, even when he accelerated aggresivly. I took her down the court on the S2 and she was terrified by how fast we went. I never got out of 1st gear. |

You folks that have spouses who ride or will ride passenger are blessed. My wife will have nothing to do with bikes (she had two close relatives nearly killed years ago in separate biking incidents).
I hope someday to get my daughters (8 & 11) interested. For now though, they've shown very little interest.
On the upside, it makes it much easier to shop for a new bike - I don't have to get buy-in from the passenger.  |

Yep truly blessed. Jodie rode on the back with me twice and said "It's boring back bere, if we're going to do this motorcycle thing, I want my own!" Took her MSF course 4 years ago and we've been loving riding together ever since, and our vacations since have always been bike vacations! Yep I love my wife! :-)

Couldn't agree with you more. My wife is the one who talked me into getting bikes. Used to have snowmobiles, but never enough snow. We started out with me on a Harley low rider and she was on a blast. We have since graduated to a Uly and a xb9sl. It's very satisfying to have such a cool mutual passion. There's nothing like taking a four week tour of the country on cycles.
