Is there a substitute oxygen sensor for '03 XB9? I seem to recall some talk of a GM sensor that was equivalent. Archive search came up empty. |

You should not have a problem finding the replacement one for the buell, I think its a bosch. I'm sure you can try and cross reference one. Last time I needed help like this Daves helped me. |

<any gm car one wire 88 to 95> I'm a GM dealer, so was hoping for that answer. We have more than one single-wire O2 sensor to choose one though. I presume that the wires'll be the same color. Before my initial post, I called the local Harley/Buell dealer, to see if the parts guy knew, or if he stocked one. Nope. The guy actually called me "Bro". God I hate that. i tracked down all the cross ref sensors; GM OEM= 8990469 superseded to 25162693 NTK= 21002 Airtex= 553071 Bosch= 12014 Denso= 234-1001 Walker= 250-21001 SNG= SN1-15 this assumes that the table i found is accurate and the Bosch one is identical as previously posted by others on this site! <GM OEM= 8990469> I think that's a very old number, and a supersession does not show up in my GM parts software or books. There's an online AC-Delco cross-reference that may be helpful. Just enter the Bosch number in there, and quite a long list of Delco numbers come up, several of which are available on any GM dealer's shelf. They look different than the Bosch piece though. Anyhoo, here's the cross-reference: http://198.208.187.182/internet/VehicleCrossRefere nce.jsp (Message edited by nuerburgringer on February 02, 2007) |

So 8990469 is a valid number, and not superceded? What's your source? My software doesn't show that one in its history, nor in the hard-copy GM book. Does not cross-reference with AC-Delco either. Hmm... Found it! #8990469 changed to #25162693, and that crosses to an AC-Delco AFS20. Sorry for the confusion. (Message edited by nuerburgringer on February 02, 2007) |
