I have been thinking about getting a different seat for my 12R. the stock one is just a smidge to hard for some of the longer rides I make in the summer. Has anyone used the custom seat from Buell? it says its more for the longer hauls, but hey thats also a sales pitch... Or does anyone know who makes a seat with more padding? |

I added the Buell Custom Firebolt seat. It is a big improvement over the stock seat. In fact, I think it should be the stock seat. Go for it. |

While I have a corbin on the front I have the custom seat for the pillion. My passengers report a definite improvement in comfort with it, the firebolt logo embroidered in it is cool too |

the Buell select seat is DEFINITELY the way to go. That was my first mod and my one of my favorites. I haven't sat on the corbin so I can't say how much better it is, if at all, than the Buell select. All I know is the corbin one is way more $$$ I also have the custom pillion and touring rear seat. I only use the touring for passengers and they all say it's great and very comfortable. (for a sport bike) I only bought the custom rear seat to match the front seat. I'm weird like that. |

I have heard mixed reveiws on the Corbin, I got a select seat but got it so late in the fall I haven't had a chance to ride it. Sure is a lot thicker and not much could be worse than the stock seat for long trips. |

Damnut, Does buell make a select seat for the Firebolt?? I thought it was only for the lightning... Seems to be only a couple aftermarket seat choices for the bolt. |

Hey Blazinc5, if you are getting a custom seat for your 12, would you be interested in parting with the stock seat? If so how much? Thanks! |

The Buell touring seat kicks ass! Not really, it kinda holds it nicely and is very comfy! I love mine. It will however raise you a tad bit higher, so if you are on your tippy toes already it will get a lil higher. |

Damnut, that looks like the streetfighter seat to me, and the buell website doesn't say anything about a "select" seat. I thought that one was also considered the "touring" seat. |

select, custom, touring..... call it what you will but I believe that the seat that I have and the seat that is in the link are one and the same. call me crazy if you will I also believe that Buell only offers 1 other FRONT seat besides the stock one......... and that's the one I have and also the one that is in that link I posted.......... I believe............ Now for REAR seat there are 3 different ones. the stock, select/custom and the touring. |
