Is there an easy way to make both of my lights run at once? Not only is this better at night on back roads, but it keeps people from asking that dumb question-Why do you have a headlight out? lol. Just wondering if anyone knew of a way to rig this or if some aftermarket company makes a conversion kit or something. Thanks--Oh yeah I have an "07 XB12S. | ||

It's easy. Pop the cover off your switch housing. Get yourself a test light and find the constant hot wire, the lowbeam wire, and the highbeam wire. Get a small piece of wire about an inch long, strip a little spot on the constant hot and lowbeam wires. Attach the jumper wire to each. Solder the connections so they don't vibrate apart, and wallaa, you have two lights on when you flip the switch up to highbeam. I have been running mine like this for over 5,000 miles and have experienced no problems with overheating or other issues. PM me if you'd like some pics of the job. You can do it in about 15 minutes. | ||

there's a middle position of the rocker switch that sends power to both lights. just keep moving forward and back until it stays in the middle. this works on my 2004 XBSL. someone on a ride in Massachusetts showed me  D | ||

For about $15. you can do a little "massaging" of your stock headlight shell to accept H-4 bulbs. Bulbs & new plugs are all you need, and a little electrical & Fab Knowledge . | ||

IDK why but mine already do? It doesnt look like anyone has opened it....but idk my bike is weird...the other day i put led blinkers and of course they didnt work so I went and got a black box that is supposed to hook up in circuit and make it work well it blew a bunch of fuses and when i took it apart I replaced the fuses and bingo it works without anything ...? | ||

Some or all the Firebolts have both lights on with high beam. Its the Lightnings that don't. I keep the switch in-between low and high. I tried to move the wires around as per some instructions here a while ago but couldn't get the wires out the harness to do it. So close and yet so far. | ||

j s machine Check the link that wolfridgerider posted. I did it this exact way and it works great. Took about a half hour. Thanks wolfridgerider for the link. I even put a blue 194 bulb in the center position that is now only on with the low beam for some effect.
