Starting today, any dealer that carries the full line of Buell motorcycles can order parts from the 2007 XBRR race bike. All of them can access the new parts book online.

From the official release:

"XBRR Race Parts
Several XBRR race parts now available for sale, including: • XBRR engine assembly • A brand “NEW” slipper clutch to greatly enhance the rider’s racing efforts • 6-Spoke cast magnesium racing wheels • Buell ZTL2 reversed rotor front brake with 8-piston Nissin caliper (available in Jan. ’07) • Steering stabilizer kit

Some of the parts that can be fitted to an XB include the shift assembly, toe peg, brake pads, wheels, upper/lower triple clamps, left/right front forks, rear shock, swingarm, and steering stabilizer kit. The XBRR parts manual denotes components that are race parts (which need to be order through Buell East Troy) versus those that are production parts (which can be electronically ordered through h-dnet.com).

XBRR Bodywork
The XBRR bodywork is now available for sale. Please note that all orders for replacement XBRR bodywork will be shipped in the current carbon fiber finish versus the Buell Racing paint scheme (gel-coat). The carbon fiber bodywork provides many more advantages over the gel-coat finish, including higher quality, better finish and durability, and lighter weight – all features to enhance your customer’s racing efforts. "

Now let the lusting and saving begin! I know I am going to order a new ZTL-2 front assem. and rear Ohlins shock for my baby.

Reep, not sure if they'll sell you the exhaust without a race license. Call Hals and ask.

We can sell you any of the parts. You just have to realize that they are for "off-road use only." Also, if you are buying these parts from your local dealer, please be sure to double check pricing with myself (jcox@cycleconnectionh-d.com) or one of the other BadWeb sponsoring dealers before putting down your cash. There is not very much mark up on most of the race parts. I continue to honor the 10% off I normally do unless I won't be making money (such as with the 6 piston Nissan 804 pads. The mark up is really just $5). H-D dealers are used to a healthy mark-up and may give you different pricing based on that.

Last I checked with the guys at Buell racing, I cannot put up the parts manual online, I will however make a retail pricing PDF for everyone to download if they OK it. I will call them on Tuesday to make sure it is ok. I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I didn't take the time and effort to put it all together, they did.

Josh

Does this mean we can put together a factory race kit for a 12 again?

Dan,

I'm not sure what the results would be. The exhaust on the RR is not near the same as the old race kit was. You would need the headers to connect the muffler to also. From just glancing, the ID of the muffler inlet looks larger. Here are some pics of the mounting points I took before. Maybe it would be suspended with the current clamps though. I don't think it will be a bolt on part, however. This is surely a free flowing exhaust and will require tuning. It was designed to flow correctly for a 1340 turning 8000 rpm; so it might not be the best can for a 984 or 1203 designed to make most of their power by 6000.

If I had that just sitting there I would not be taking pics of it. I would be out riding it. This just might be why they don't keep it in my garage.

The race exhaust off the RR will not work well with a fairly stock XB

Dealers: use caution while looking at the PDF file on HD Net. Some of the reference numbers in the pictures are out of sync with the part lists and you may be looking at one part and accidently order another. Buell is aware of this and is working on fixing it. If you have the CD, that should be correct.

Steering stabilizer kit will have new part numbers soon (and pricing). Right now, there are part numbers for the individual parts, not a complete kit. The kit info will be presented at the dealer show next week. It will be available for 41mm (03 and 04 XB models and current XB12scg) and 43mm (all other XB models) forks.

Steering stabilizer kit is:

J2402.06AH for the 41mm kit
J1402.06ah for the 43mm kit

They both retail for $414.00 so, the BadWeb price will be $372.60. These kits have been available for some time from Buell Racing (7/5/06), and use the same Ohlins dampers as the XBRR.

I'd have to contact Buell Racing to check stock, but they are usually quick to deliver anything I order.

Josh

These will only fit the Firebolt models.

That doesn't sound too bad. $372 for an Ohlins steering damper.

Left side:

Right side:

Off bike (catalog):

It is a very nice unit. You can make it to where you can't feel it or a bear to turn depending on how many turns you adjust it.

Compare pricing online. For most bikes, Ohlins damper kits run between $400-$600. To my knowledge, Buell Racing is the only one offering this kit, and the pricing is awesome.

Josh_cox, Is the hardware, by itself, for the steering damper available through you? If so, how much? I have a brand new LSL damper cylinder I bought on Ebay, with no hardware. I got a quote from some Harley dealer of $275. for just the hardware alone!
I thought this ridiculous, since you can buy the entire Ohlins set up for $372. and the cylinder is the most expensive part of the rig!
